Defianz Racing<br />

Team Defianz Racing is the 15-year old Formula Student<br />
Team of DTU. They conceptualise and develop a race-ready<br />
formula car for Formula Student competitions. According to<br />
the official worldwide rankings, the team is currently number<br />
1 in India.<br />
DelTech Baja<br />

The mission of the team is to design and build an ATV to race<br />
in the student Baja style events organized by the Society of<br />
Automotive Engineers (SAE).<br />
The team participated in the 12 th <strong>Edition</strong> of BAJA SAE India.<br />
DelTech BAJA’s buggy ‘DB XIX’ cleared various tests and<br />
survived the endurance event for 4 hours. They landed a Top<br />
20 finish in the business plan event.<br />
DTU ALTAIR<br />

DTU ALTAIR (Advance Leap in Technology and Intelligent<br />
Robotics) is a team of robotics enthusiasts aiming at<br />
developing autonomous robotic solutions.<br />
The team secured the 41 st position in CANSAT, a NASAorganized<br />
competition that requires students to design<br />
nano-satellites.<br />
DTU AUV<br />
Vipul Garg (8377022174)<br />
Team DTU AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) aims<br />
to innovate and develop a fully-autonomous underwater<br />
vehicle.<br />
Their model ARYA is one of the 7 robots chosen from all over<br />
India to be kept for display as ‘Advances in Robotics’ at the<br />
Robotics Gallery in Science City, Ahmedabad.<br />
DTU Supermileage<br />
Akshansh Aggarwal (9999604400)<br />
DTU Supermileage aims to develop super mileage vehicles<br />
that provide maximum mileage, be it with a litre of gasoline<br />
or a kWH of electric charge. Their ultimate goal is the<br />
protection of the environment from vehicular pollution.<br />
DTU Supermileage participated in the Shell Eco-Marathon<br />
India at Madras Motor Racing Track, Chennai in December<br />
2018, and clinched the 1 st position in Urban Concept Gasoline<br />
category by achieving a mileage of 154km/l. The team<br />
won the 2 nd position in Prototype Battery Electric category,<br />
achieving a mileage of 171.9km/kWh.<br />
Hertz Electric<br />

Hertz Electric aims to manufacture a formula student electric<br />
vehicle.<br />
A sub team of Hertz Electric was invited to Thundersky<br />
Winston in Xiamen, China, to discuss and educate the team<br />
about new lithium ion battery developments and recent<br />
trends in electric vehicles and charging stations.<br />
Zephyr<br />

Team Zephyr designs an intelligent ground vehicle with<br />
autonomous driving capabilities.<br />
Team Zephyr participated in the Intelligent Ground Vehicle<br />
Competition held at Oakland University, Michigan and<br />
secured the 3 rd position in the cyber-security challenge.<br />
Inferno DTU<br />

Team Inferno DTU strives to manufacture a Mars Rover<br />
Prototype.<br />
Team Inferno DTU completed the university’s first Martian<br />
Rover prototype, A.R.G.U.S, in December 2018. They<br />
competed through various rounds and secured the 7 th<br />
rank at the Indian Rover Challenge at Manipal Institute of<br />
Technology.<br />
Okami Racing<br />

Team Okami Racing, the Electric Motorcycle Team of DTU,<br />
aims to design and manufacture high performance electric<br />
motorcycles.<br />
Okami Racing participated in Motostudent 2018 edition held<br />
in Spain.<br />
Raftaar<br />
Tanishq Arora (9899696092)<br />
Team Raftaar designs innovative human powered vehicles.<br />
The team aims to demonstrate the application of engineering<br />
design principles in the development of sustainable and<br />
practical transportation alternatives.<br />
Team Raftaar, DTU secured 1 st position in Analysis and<br />
bagged the 5 th position in Design at ASME E-Fest, Asia Pacific<br />
2019 held at VIT, Vellore.<br />
UAS-DTU<br />
Joyraj (9654271757)<br />
The DTU-Unmanned Aerial Systems project was initiated with<br />
the primary purpose of developing technologies to reduce<br />
India’s dependence on foreign intelligence, surveillance<br />
and reconnaissance products.<br />
Team UAS-DTU was awarded the Gold Medal in the<br />
Formation Flying category at Drone Olympics, Aero India<br />
2019, Bangalore. They received prize money of Rs. 5 lakh,<br />
including a developmental kit from Lockheed Martin.<br />
They would further be trained for the AlphaPilot, an open<br />
innovation challenge in the US.<br />
Team UAS-DTU cleared Phase 2 of the IAF Mehar Baba Prize<br />
and were given a cash prize of Rs. 25 lakhs. They are currently<br />
competing in Phase 3 of the same.<br />
UGV-DTU (Unmanned Ground Vehicle)<br />
Khwaish Kr. Anjum (9773518599)<br />
The Unmanned Ground Vehicle team designs autonomous<br />
vehicles through calibrating and using various sensors and<br />
implementing real time image processing.<br />
Team UGV-DTU secured the 5 th position in the cyber-security<br />
challenge of the Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition<br />
held at Oakland University, Michigan.
