Modern/Lyrical 1<br />
Tuesday<br />
38 Week Session<br />
Y member rate: $40/month<br />
Y non-member rate: $80/month<br />
Modern/lyrical is more creative and less strict than ballet, while<br />
still working on dance technique, strength, flexibility, and<br />
musicality. Class will start with a warm up to work on technique<br />
and flexibility. The class will move to center and across the floor<br />
work to explore different types of movements while maintaining<br />
technique. The class will end working on a combination that puts<br />
modern and lyrical together as a whole dance. Modern and lyrical<br />
are very well-rounded forms of dance that fully explores dance as a<br />
whole. Students will work to achieve a full split. Black yoga/stretch<br />
pants and black jazz shoes or ballet slippers required. A holiday<br />
and spring recital will be held. Information on recitals and costume<br />
fees will be emailed to parents. Monthly payment plan is available.<br />
