BARNfest
BARNfest is a small-scale festival open to the
public and theatre community, showcasing
theatre made in Somerset. It is taking place
in Taunton at The Brewhouse and Cosy Club.
Join us for two days of fabulous shows, from
some of our best loved and most celebrated
theatre makers, including Pip Utton, Wassail
Theatre, Sarah Mooney, Pirates of the
Carabina, Viv Gordon and Jamie Wood. We
will also be showcasing emerging artists and
companies such as Atomic Rhubarb and
Jordan Cottle.
Along with polished performances, BARNfest
will include open rehearsals, work-inprogress
and pitches. There will be an
evening of performance and spoken word
at the Cosy Club, featuring stand-up poet
Elvis McGonagall, complete with supper
and squashy sofas. For those who want to
connect, there will be plenty of opportunities
to network, meet the theatre-makers and
discuss the performances.
BARNfest is produced by Take Art and The
Brewhouse, with support from the Esmée
Fairbairn Foundation. Full information and a
timetable for both days is available at
