Surgery No,
Transformation YES!
Thinking about the latest and greatest procedure to change
the shape of your body? Well I’m here to help you question
your decision before you put down that credit card. And I’m not
talking about enhancing your bosom for a perkier look (I’ll be
the first to tell you to go for that), I’m talking about liposuction,
fat transfers, booty implants… all the procedures that promise
a brand new you, and give you the look you always wanted.
Sure, a shortcut seems appealing and
ideal to some, or maybe a lot…but you
may want to think twice before going
under the knife. I’m not against all surgeries,
there are people that have excess skin,
and many that have tried everything (and
tried it the right way) but still need a little
extra help. However, there are some unnecessary
procedures, and what may follow
after choosing them:
1. Regret
There are so many clients that regret having
surgery. After it’s done, there is (usually)
no going back. Or even worse, is when a client
does go back to get something fixed and
it comes out worse. Before going back ask
yourself: “Is this my last resort? Have I tried
everything else? Would I really need lipo if
I just cleaned up my diet? Do I really need
booty implants? What if I did all the right exercises,
even if it took me 2-3 years?”
2. Longevity of results
Sure, you might look like a hot tamale for a
quick minute but if you don’t have the foundation
of a healthy lifestyle, the results will
not last. There are many people that get liposuction
and then gained it all back! Imagine
spending all that time, money and risks only
to gain it all back. How can anyone believe
they can continue eating poorly and the fat
would never come back? Now that would be
a true miracle! Learning how to eat and exercise
correctly will give results that will last.
It may not be the quick fix you were hoping
for, but you will really appreciate the results
once you get there.
3. The bad fat
Cosmetic surgery does not get rid of the
dangerous visceral fat that sticks around
the organs. This type of fat can lead to
heart disease, diabetes and obesity. So, if
you think that after surgery you will become
a “healthier” version of yourself,
think again. Once again, everything leads
back to diet and exercise. It’s not a quick
fix, but one that will help you live healthier,
stronger and longer.
4. Undesired results
This goes along with regret mentioned
above – many clients that had various procedures
are truly unhappy with the outcome
for one reason or another. Dimpled bellies,
drooping derriere implants, infected areas,
boxy shapes, etc. Most desired results are attainable
through eating clean and the right
exercises. You may not achieve a booty like
Kim Kardashian, but do you really want one?
If so, then understand that the results are
not always as promised, and you have to be
prepared to deal with the aftermath.
Hopefully you will think twice before going
for the knife. But always do what makes
you the happiest! Just research what you’re
really getting in to before you do so, and
know that there are non-surgical ways to
achieve similar long lasting results if you’re
willing to make a commitment!
