Avoid men who are
morally
corrupt
if you want to marry again
– Uche Maduagwu tells Juliet Ibrahim
Controversial Nollywood actor, Uche
Maduagwu, recently took to his
Instagram page to advise screen
diva, Juliet Ibrahim, to avoid men who
he describes as ‘morally bankrupt’ if she
wants to experience a blissful life again.
Recall that Juliet Ibrahim’s marriage to
her ex-hubby, Kwadwo Safo Jnr. ended
about four years ago after she discovered
her husband had impregnated another
lady. Her relationship with singer,
Iceberg Slim also ended about a year
ago.
Maduagwu, however, advised the
screen diva that it is better to be
in a relationship with a broke
man than one who cheats. “If
you want to smell marriage
again, avoid men who are
morally bankrupt. My dear, a
man that can cheat on you for
years without you knowing is
morally bankrupt. It is even
better to be in a relationship
with a boyfriend that is broke
because one day, God will open
Maduagwu doors for him, than a
comfortable man that is morally
bankrupt,” he wrote.
next level dealings informed
his decision to drop his brother
from managing him, and
seeing that his vision has
grown, he needs people who
‘see as far as he sees’.
“It was just next level dealings.
I wanted to get somewhere
else, the vision became a lot
King 98
Davido, other
Nigerian
musicians are
very humble
— Zimbabwean
singer, King 98
Having conquered the very
discouraging music industry
in his home country, popular
Zimbabwean musician,
Ngonidzashe Dondo, better known
by his stage name as King 98,
thought it pertinent to expand his
music frontiers by coming to
Nigeria to have a feel of the music
ambiance and equally promote his
brand of music which he has
refused to define because he is a
versatile artiste with no
boundaries.
Speaking on his mission to Nigeria
in a chat with E-Daily, the music
youngster said; “I love it here and
it’s been cool; everyone is friendly.
In terms of the music vibe, Afrobeat
is dominating, not just locally
but globally. I spend my time
listening to Afro-beat now than
hip-hop because of the manner of
beats that are being made, the
production, and the collaboration
levels. Also, Burna Boy, Wizkid and
the rest being on
Beyonce’s album, so you
see they are breaking out.
Nigerian artistes are the
ones at the forefront
pushing African music to
the world.”
While describing the
Nigerian music industry
as the strongest and most
viable in Africa; the young
superstar who is still
riding on the crest of his
album titled ‘Francesca’;
released earlier in the year
stated that contrary to
popular belief, Davido
and many other Nigerian
musicians are very humble
people.
“The strongest music
industry in Africa is
Nigeria and it’s also the
friendliest. I remember I
made a song with Davido.
When I met Davido, the
connection I made with
him was easy compared to
other artistes I’ve met back
home in Zimbabwe. So,
the love that Nigerian
artistes have for
entertainment is
something else. I met him
the first day, the next day
we’ve made the song and
shot the video. That was
like very easy. When you
see them on TV, they are
like superstars but in
person, they are very
humble people. It’s easy to
work with them. Even to
the producers; I’ve worked
with Speroach and I might
work with Kelechi Ngezo.
That’s just why I like
working with Nigerians”,
he said.
Speaking on why it is so
difficult to be hit limelight
on the Zimbabwean music
industry, the ‘Shoko’
crooner said; It’s difficult
because we don’t have a
lot of numbers compared
to Nigeria and South
Africa, where there are
enough artistes and music
is supported. Music is not
really a big thing for us
because it’s not valued.
Only a few musicians have
made it to limelight.
If you give to everyone, you
will become broke too - AY
Celebrity life may come with many perks, but it also has its
downside, and going by the flamboyance often displayed
on social media, many automatically have high expectations from
them and hence often reach out to them for financial assistance.
Ace Nigerian comedian cum actor, Ayo Makun better known as
AY, has taken to social media to complain about this issue and
to address people who are in the habit of asking him for money.
According to him, many people who constantly come to him for
help fail to understand that he too might just become broke
if he gives everyone.
“From not wanting to disappoint anybody, people
consistently expect you to please
everyone. It’s only in Nigeria your N1
million will attract 20 friends and
family with 100k problems each. Why
do they always fail to understand that
if you give everybody, you will become
broke too? People around you should
understand that you cannot please
everyone all the time. It usually ends
u p being a terrible move whenever you
try to do that among people who fails to understand
or lacks appreciation for every little thing you do.
We can only appreciate the sermon of ‘give and it
will come back to you’ when you are in position to
give. There’s always going to be someone
disappointed, so you might as well make yourself
happy and be you. ‘Givers never lack’ doesn’t
mean you should lack sense.
According to Timaya, I can’t kill myself,” he
wrote.
