Thai Takeaway taste the flavour
Thinking about tea and what to have on the
menu? Choose authentic Thai from Monthai
Takeaway! Customer reviews across social
media and online hospitality sites speak for
themselves – Generous food portions tops the
list, followed by consistency of taste and high
quality ingredients. Their service is always
friendly and accommodating.
Check out their diversified menu including
customer favourites such as Phad Thai chicken.
Curries galore with so many choices: green,
red, mussaman, penang and more. Other tasty
choices include crispy chicken with cashews,
pork wonton and curry puff entrees which are
both made fresh in-house. Don’t forget the stir
fried vegetables with chicken or beef and a satay
sauce. If you are in the mood for spice, try their
stir fried vegetables with basil and chilli, or
chicken and fried rice.

but the chefs are very happy to spice things up
a bit if like spice, so don’t hesitate to ask when
ordering. Gluten free, no problem. Vegetarian
and vegan meals, they can accommodate.

they will custom make your dish.
Monthai is a family run takeaway with
Chef Mesa and other family members behind
the mouth-watering dishes. Their dishes
have served patrons from Christchurch and
Wellington for more than 20 years.
Monthai is still located in their original
location in North New Brighton where they
opened in April 2010. Like so many other
business owners they had to bounce back after
the earthquake.
“We want to say a big thank you to all our
customers. They make every day worthwhile”,
says owner Neil Thornton.
There is plenty of parking at the rear of the
QEII Shopping Centre and the premises have
been totally refurbished.
Monthai Takeaway is just that, they specialise
in takeaway, but do have a few tables if you
would like to dine in.
