The boutique sells a variety of products
and brands. “There is something
unique about each line that I carry,” Gore
said.
Sales associate Hannah Enlow said
their variety makes them stand out in the
community. Some of her favorite brands
include Elon, Clara Sunwoo and Lessay.
“They have the best quality and always
perform really well.”
Their quality may help the shop
stand out, but Enrow said it’s just one of
the factors contributing to Sapphire on
Spring’s distinctiveness.
“The uniqueness of the clothing, the
prices [make us unique] ... there’s a lot here
and it’s growing, but being a boutique in
this area is pretty unique,” she said.
Enlow said they also cater to age
groups from juniors all the way up to seniors.
Enlow described a very family-oriented
environment, which she said is one
of the reasons she loves her job so much.
“My mom works with me, too,”
she said. “Angela is a really good family
friend of mine and we’re all just close,
which really helps with the work environment.”
Gore and Enlow have both witnessed
tremendous growth in the Jeffersonville
area since opening the shop.
“Since opening the boutique, I’ve
witnessed at least eight new restaurants
or retail stores open,” Gore said. “It’s exciting
to be a part of the development of
downtown Jeff.”
Enlow said they stay very involved
in the community and see it as an allaround
win for their customers, the community
and the boutique.
“We really try to be involved in
Gore and the staff study trends and
work to find affordable options, handpicking
pieces to stock the store. They
also offer sizes ranging from extra small
to extra-extra large.
“We have a very big selection of
unique clothing,” she said. “We travel all
over the U.S. searching for unique affordable
clothing.”
Gore said her biggest accomplishment
is seeing the same customers return
over and over again. As far as future goals,
Gore wants to continue growing not only
in the store, but also online. Regardless
of their shopping methods, she said she
wants customers to feel as if they’ve just
spent some time over at a good friend’s
house.

Just two years before opening
Sapphire on Spring, Angela Gore had
sold a boutique. After many years
running and buying for her stores,
Gore thought she had retired from the
boutique business, but she couldn’t stay
away.
After finding the perfect location in
Jeffersonville, Gore opened Sapphire on
Spring six months later. The boutique is
just one of the many local businesses contributing
to Jeffersonville’s growth.
“I felt like Jeffersonville was on the
verge of really taking off and they really
needed a boutique,” Gore said. “The perfect
building just happened to be for sale,
and the rest is history.”
Sapphire on Spring has now been
open for three years. Gore’s inspiration
was to create a continuation of her pre-
events, and we always have really good
deals on those days, so it really helps us
and them,” she said.
A new venture for Sapphire on
Spring is an online shop. Gore originally
decided to expand by opening a second
store in New Albany, but she quickly realized
there was a different way to expand.
“I feel like online shopping is quickly
taking over the market, and I wanted to
offer a more convenient way to shop for
our customers,” she said.
As described on the website, Gore

of all body types could come and find
fashionable, trendy styles for less.”
“Women want to play around with
their looks and try on different style identities
without breaking the bank,” she
said.

to do just that, plus they ship all around
the world. All of their online items are
available in the store as well.
