French confess that cars are in their blood having<br />
tinkered under the bonnet since an early age. Eddie’s<br />
passion is V8s; Corvettes in particular. He has built<br />
a number of dragsters including a 32 Ford Roadster<br />
front engine, side-valve model which had his own<br />
four carburettor alloy intakes and owner-made<br />
pistons. Dragster and circuit racing were also a<br />
pastime for Eddie who took the TransAm class award<br />
in his 1995 Camaro and six times reached 200mph<br />
over a quarter mile track in a mere 6½ seconds. He<br />
also achieved New Zealand’s top show car award with<br />
a ‘Pink Panther’ Ford Roadster.<br />
Paul says he was born with an interest in anything<br />
mechanical and cars in particular. Hot rods are at the<br />
top of the list. He owns a 27 Ford Track Roadster 440<br />
and a 28 Model A Roadster Hemi and is an expert at<br />
re-building Holley carburettors.<br />
For 35 years now, many car enthusiasts have seen<br />
