Cowbridge Food & Drink Festival
26 th & 27 th May
As the Cowbridge Food & Drink Festival
gets set to celebrate its fifteenth anniversary
this May Bank Holiday (26th -27th), a new
and exciting addition is planned in the form
of the festival’s first dedicated vegan site.
Situated in the Duke of Wellington
Car Park and free to enter to event ticket
holders, visitors will be able to sample a
range of products including foraged and
homegrown syrups – lilac, rhubarb and sugar
free lavender - from Tast Natur; speciality
botanical beers courtesy of Tomos a Lilford;
an array of Indian delights from Samosaco
and a vegan range of shampoo bars and
conditioners from Rush Organics. The new
vegan site is a real plus for the festival as they
always strive to offer something for everyone
and are sure visitors will enjoy sampling some
of these great products.
The festival has also formed a brand new
partnership with Nathaniel Cars – specialists
in new and used vehicles across both
Bridgend and Cardiff – the company comes
on board as main sponsor. As well as cars
positioned in main areas, the local dealership
will also be located at the children’s activities
area in the Old Hall Gardens and will
also supply fleet vehicles to help transport
equipment across the various venues.
Speaking ahead of the event, Cowbridge
Food & Drink Festival event organiser,
Polly Bamford said: “We’re delighted that
Nathaniel Cars has chosen to team up with
us in this way – they are a local company
so keen to be involved in a local event and
already lending support way over and above.
It’s a relationship we’re both very keen to
build on and develop further in the future
and we’re looking forward to having the
Nathaniel team on site for what is set to be a
great milestone in the festival’s history.”

Pembrokeshire Fish Week
22 nd - 30 th June
This year, the county is once again
celebrating its sparkling seas and fresh locallycaught
fish and shellfish in the Pembrokeshire
Fish Week festival. Some 200 events will
be taking place from cookery demos and a
celebrity chef evening with Bryn Williams
and friends, to coastal foraging, filleting
workshops, seafood tasting, and much more.
All week, restaurants and cafes will be
putting their fresh local ‘catch of the day’ at
centre stage – from delicious tapas evenings to
chowder trails, seafood extravaganzas or good
old traditional fish and chips. New this year
is a barbecue trail at Tenby, with cafes and
restaurants dishing up delicious local produce
outside their establishments for passers-by to
tuck into as they stroll around the walled town
and harbour.
Plenty for families to enjoy including raft
races at Goodwick Harbour, seashore activities
and a fresh fish barbecue at Saundersfoot,
plus beach safaris, crabbing, guided coastal
walks and much more.
Anglers and those who would love to learn
to fish also have lots to choose from, with
angling lessons and competitions for all ages
and abilities held throughout the week.
The festival opens on Saturday, June 22nd
with Milford Fish Festival - a free familyfriendly
fun day at Milford Haven’s Mackerel
Quay with street food, live music, family boat
trips, children’s activities and much more.
Pembrokeshire Fish Week is co-ordinated
by Pembrokeshire County Council’s Food
Development Team, part-funded by Welsh
Government and supported by various
