Many of us after a holiday in Spain wish to try Spanish
all the classics including Patatas Bravas, Chorizo in
My Sister’s Lies
S.D. Roberts
Avon Books / £8.99
Married to Mark, Hannah
has a great and child-free
existence only marred by
a fall out with her sister
Diane over a decade ago.
Then Diane turns up at her
door with teenage daughter
Mia asking if Mia can stay
for a few days and Hannah
is fine with that. But when
days turn into weeks
Hannah is worried and she’s
no knowledge of Diane’s
devastating secret, a secret
that will destroy her pretty
perfect life. You don’t realise
how quickly this story
draws you in and then takes
you on an emotional roller
coaster ride.
Anatomy Of A Scandal
Sarah Vaughan
Simon & Schuster / £7.99
This is a page-turner so
don’t think you’ll read a
chapter in bed and that
will suffice - it will not. The
plot continually twists and
turns but for me the crunch
was the gender and sexual
politics that made this thriller
compelling to read. It is a
cunning exploration of our
justice system. The author
has researched her topic
brilliantly and with so many
scandals, it is an exceptional
read and understandably a
best seller.
