Born in Canada, raised in<br />

Haiti, Plastic Surgery trained in<br />

Brazil and the United States.<br />

In my journey to become a Plastic Surgeon, I completed General<br />

Surgery residency at the University Hospital in Port-au-Prince<br />

during a period of political instability and violence. It was a<br />

struggle to strive for excellence, as the real challenge was not just to<br />

save lives but also to improve the quality of life of my patients. I subsequently<br />

travelled to Brazil, where I completed a Plastic Surgery<br />

residency at the prestigious Ivo Pitanguy Institute. There, I learned<br />

cutting edge surgical techniques developed to satisfy the demands<br />

of the diverse Brazilian and International patients seeking our care.<br />

It was there that I began my research in adipose stem cells. As I<br />

traveled to the United States to present the results of our pioneering<br />

study, I became impressed and overwhelmed by the American<br />

engine of medical research and education. I was fortunate to obtain<br />

a year later a grant to continue my research in adipose-derived<br />

stem cells at the University of Maryland, complete a clinical fellowship<br />

in Burn Surgery at Johns Hopkins University and a six-year<br />

residency in Plastic and Reconstructive<br />

Surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical<br />

School allowing me to work as a plastic<br />

surgeon in the United States.<br />

I am thrilled to be one of the few female<br />

plastic surgeons in the Delray<br />

Beach community and to join the wonderful<br />

team of the Delray Dermatology +<br />

Cosmetic Center headed by the talented<br />

Dr. Francesca Lewis, where I will do<br />

among other surgical procedures skin<br />

cancer excisions and reconstruction after<br />

Mohs procedures. We are now offering<br />

at the center a broad range of plastic<br />

surgery procedures of the face and body<br />

with a particular interest in regenerative<br />

plastic surgery, fat grafting and aesthetic<br />

cosmetic surgery.<br />

A fat grafting procedure transfers fat<br />

from areas in which you have excess<br />

fat, such as the abdomen, back or outer<br />

thighs, and injects it into areas that may<br />

be lacking in volume (such as your face,<br />

hands, breasts, buttocks) or that may<br />

need healing such as burns and scars.<br />

This safe, long-lasting, well-tolerated procedure produces naturallooking<br />

results and great patient satisfaction.<br />

I am enthusiastic in applying the latest plastic surgery techniques<br />

and incorporate innovative uses of regenerative surgery acquired<br />

in Brazil and the United States, the countries with the most plastic<br />

surgery procedures performed in the world according to International<br />

Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).<br />

With members of our staff fluent in English, French, Portuguese,<br />

Creole and Spanish, we are welcoming all of you to experience the<br />

best in Dermatology, Aesthetics, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery<br />
