destination with its vibrant atmosphere and cool

Nestled in the heart of Yorkshire and located on
the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales, Leeds city
centre is also a shopper’s paradise! From high
street to high end design, from big brand shops
in stunning Victorian arcades to numerous
modern purpose-built shopping centres with big
name department stores, shopping doesn’t get
much better!
Leeds is famous for its exciting festival scene too.
The Leeds Festival is one of the UK’s most popular
rock festivals and brings together thousands of
visitors from around the world. The month of June
heralds the annual Leeds Food and Drink Festival;
certain to satisfy food lovers with its three-day
round-up of the very best local street food.
If you’re visiting Leeds, consider starting your
city exploration at the Millennium Square. The
Town Hall, Leeds City Museum and Leeds Civic
Hall surround the square, which has a reputation
as the social and cultural heart of Leeds. During
the winter months, this hotspot is home to the
annual Christmas market and an outdoor ice
rink - definitely worth experiencing if you love the
festive season! Major international and national
sporting events are broadcast on big screens here
too, seeing people from the city and further afield
come together to support and cheer on their
favourite teams.
