Receiving a patent for my party
harness.
Are you a dog or cat person? And
how do you think that helps you in
business?
I am an animal lover. I have a cat
and dogs. My cat is a critic my dogs are
partners.

What do you wish pet lovers knew
about what you do?
I have had no formal training for being
a pet fashion designer. I am passionate
about what I do. I love to create and
innovate. I am not conventional in my
approach giving myself the freedom to
create one of a kind items that I hope
will be flattering. I buy what I like when
I travel at flea markets and I upcycle.
How did a pet influence your business?
Oh my, I cannot thank my
veterinarian enough for giving me
Imalaya. She opened a whole new
world for me. I finally had a small dog to
model my designs. But more than that,
I was able to integrate the wonderful
world of dog fashion. I have met so
many people that I now consider
friends. I look forward to seeing them
at the various events I participate in. I
have been lucky to have met other dog
fashion designers who have advised
and guided me and to whom I am
forever grateful.
How important is social media to
your business?
Social media is very important
and indispensable today. It's a great
advertising tool, however it does
not replace a satisfied customer.
I find managing several accounts
overwhelming so I mainly use
Instagram, Facebook and Linked in.
What do you love most about your
business?
The creativity, the continued learning,
the encounters, the fun, fashion, and
all the unexpected rewards!
What trait do you possess that
serves you best in business?
Perseverance, open mindedness,
always striving to improve and altruism.
