KELLYN GRANTHAM

SENIOR DIRECTOR, CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT, TARGET

Can you tell us a little about the work you’re involved in at

Target and how it relates to the pet space?

I work within Target’s Corporate Development and Enterprise

Partnerships team. We focus on enabling Target’s strategy via

inorganic opportunities – acquisitions, investments, and enterprise

partnerships. Pets is a large and growing category at Target and we

are excited to partner with brands and businesses that can provide

differentiation to our guests.

Why does Target find the pet industry so interesting at the

moment?

For us, Pets is not just interesting at the moment. Target strives

to bring joy to families every day and we believe family includes

pets. To truly bring joy, we need therefore need to bring joy to

every member of the family, not just the humans. Combine that

with delayed child-rearing and the humanization of pets, there are

a lot of different companies across many business models (brands,

services, technologies) that are continuing to evolve how the pet and

petowner are served.

What sorts of companies are you most interested in meeting at

the Pets & Money Summit?

We’re always interested in meeting with companies that are

developing innovative and novel brands and services that meet our

guests’ needs.
