25-metre-long Blue Whale in Catoosa.
DAY 6: AMARILLO
Delve into 60 years of Route 66 history
at Clinton’s dedicated museum, then
cruise the pancake-flat plains of the
Texas Panhandle.
DAYS 7–9: ALBUQUERQUE
Take a break from the wheel to explore
Downtown Albuquerque’s Central Avenue,
a treasure trove of Route 66 landmarks.
DAY 10: HOLBROOK
Spot concrete tepees standing roadside
by the brilliant red-rock landscape of
Arizona’s Petrified Forest National Park.
DAY 11: GRAND CANYON
Spend the day discovering the South Rim,
