scores level,
despite the
protests from
the Walsall
players that the
ball had
actually not
crossed the
line, referee
Howe, assisted
by linesman
Tony Lloyd who
flagged to say
the ball had
crossed the line
awarding
Darlaston the
draw. Shortly
after the re-start the referee blew the final whistle. A competitive game
for both sides, played at a good pace, and the large crowd was certainly
entertained for the whole 90 minutes
Darlaston would obviously like to thank Walsall Football Club, Secretary
and club manager Darrell Clarke for providing a team for the game,
enabling the club to break their attendance record at The Paycare
Ground. Whilst the club is always thankful for the support that they
receive from not only from their regular supporters but also from their
sponsors, they are hopeful that new friends have been made and that
Walsall supporters who came to the game will come to Darlaston on a
more regular basis when Walsall are not at home.
We cannot thank
the
local
community and the
towns folk of
Darlaston and
Walsall enough for
their support and
we would certainly
like to wish Darrell
Clarke,
his
backroom staff and
his squad the very
best for the
remainder of the
season.
