Mr. Le Thanh Kinh - a Vietnamese attorney and solicitor whoreceived his Bachelor of Law degree (LL.B.) and then a Master ofLaws (LL.M.) at the Kuban State University in Russia in 1988. Heis fluent in English and Russian.He has been in practice for more than 20 years under the Ho ChiMinh City Bar Association.Mr. Kinh is the founder and the current Managing Director of LeNguyen Law Firm, of which head office is located in Ho Chi MinhCity with branches in Hanoi, Danang and Can Tho cities.Prior to the establishment of LAW & HR Consulting® in 1997,which became Le Nguyen Law Office and then Le Nguyen LawFirm Ltd., he worked as a detective for the Investigation Unit ofthe Ho Chi Minh City Police Department.Mr. Kinh is also listed as an arbitrator of the Vietnam InternationalArbitration Centre.In the past 20 years, Mr. Kinh has provided legal advice for largecorporations and important clients such as Vietnam Airlines,China Airlines, Mitsubishi Corp, Itochu Corp, Mitsui Corp, DaewooEngineering, and ALT Group in areas of Commercial Law,Corporate Law, and Real Estate Law.In 2000, Mr. Kinh represented Kyunggi Silk (Korea) Ltd., in thefirst recognition and enforcement of a foreign arbitral award inVietnam against VISERI - a major State company.In 2002, Mr. Kinh represented Leighton Contractors (VN) Ltd. inthe landmark decision by the Ho Chi Minh City Court of Appealsto not recognize and enforce a foreign arbitration award inVietnam.In 2005, Mr. Kinh represented British former rock star GaryGlitter, who was charged with child molestation by Vietnameseauthorities. Mr. Kinh has undertaken a wide range of criminaldisputes and has been highly successful in solving many criminalcases for foreign individuals.In 2009, Mr. Kinh was awarded Lawyer of the Year, an honorgiven to outstanding contributors to the practice.Mr. Kinh is currently trusted by the judiciary establishment of HoChi Minh city with the organizing and teaching of the legal practicecourses for trainee lawyers at the Judicial Institute (under theMinistry of Justice).
