In February 2020, SPB students
have an amazing opportunities to
practice this month’s character trait,
cooperation, during Pajamas Party
(ECE), Field Trip to Post Office and the
Library (KG), Global School Play Day
(ECE- Primary) and Intramurals 2020
(Sec-JC). While our students are
preparing themselves with Try Outs
(P6, S3, JC2), Checkpoints (P6 and S2)
and Cambridge IGCSE & AS/A Level
exams (S4, JC2), we would also remind
them to have fun while working and
collaborating with others in all these
activities we have prepared. We asked
them to talk with each other, have
empathy and include others, encourage
and motivate others as well as work
hard to win in the intramurals.
I would encourage you to continue
practice cooperation at home and
outside the school. For younger
students, dedicate some time off the
screen,
encourage them to play board games
with the family or their friends or play
some physical activity games with
others. Hide and seek, “lompat tali”
or even some other traditional games
will get them excited and practice their
social skills including cooperation.
For older students, get them involved
with some team work sports activity or
some local organization. I hope they
will learn to listen to each other without
interrupting, take responsibility for their
part of the task, are willing to hear and
accept the ideas of others, as well as
discuss problems calmly.
In this issue, you will be able to read
a short description of some of our
activities in January and early February,
as well as enjoy the pictures and videos
of those activities.
