Cemetery Clean-Up
Spring cleaning for the Fairfield Township
cemeteries begins March 20. Winter
decorations and old flowers should be removed

in the description of each. The theme is winter.
This co-ed group meets monthly. Refreshments

• We Joy Sing Heart Strings. Sign-ups

Wednesday mornings March 4-April 29.
Two classes weekly will include age groups
of infants through 5 years old.
• Mysteries at the Manor Club. The
group will discuss “The Adventure of the
Golden Pince-nez” at 2 p.m. March 15 at the
home of Casey O’Neill.
Open Studio
Area residents are invited to join the
London Visual Arts Guild (LVAG) for open
studio from 4 to 8 p.m. every Tuesday,
weather permitting. Studio 7 is located at 7
E. High St., London, and is free and open to
the public. Bring your own art project to
work on. Often, teachers are on hand to help
or just talk about art.
LVAG will continue to have Tuesday free
sessions until the gallery moves in May to
its new location at 121 E. First St., the former
London City Schools vocational agriculture
building.
The guild’s 6th Annual Community Show
will take place at the new location. Area residents
are invited to exhibit in this show.

• Bluegrass Jam. Bluegrass players and
fans are invited to make some noise from
6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 24. All skill levels are
welcome. Can’t play or sing? Just come and
listen.
• Role Playing Games 101. This indepth
five-session experience will teach participants
how to set up and execute a
role-playing game. Representatives from
FAST Gaming will guide players in their
character development and run participants
through four levels of increasing difficulty
to strengthen their characters. Registrants
must be able to attend all five sessions or be
prepared to send a proxy in their place because
an absence would negatively affect
the remaining party. Seats for this experience

INFORMATION MEETING
FOR PROPOSED MAJOR
UTILITY FACILITY
Big Plain Solar, LLC, an affiliate of First Solar, Inc., will be holding a second
public information meeting regarding plans to build the Madison Solar Farm,
a 196-megawatt state-of-the-art solar electric generating facility. The proposed
electric generating facility will be located near the intersection of Big Plain
Circleville Road (County Road 4) and Glade Run Road (County Road 70)
on approximately 1,500 acres in Fairfield and Oak Run Townships in
Madison County. The new facility will generate electricity and interconnect
with the regional transmission grid to supply the region with power.
Construction of the facility is scheduled to commence during the first quarter
of 2021. The project is scheduled to be in service by the third quarter of
2022.
The public information meeting will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the Fairfield Township Hall, which is
located at 9100 Big Plain Circleville Road, London, OH 43140. Company
representatives will be present to discuss the proposed facility and answer
questions.

Republican Central Committee
The Madison County Republican Central
Committee meets monthly at 7 p.m. at
the Madison County Engineer’s Office, 825
U.S. Rte. 42, London. Dates for 2020 are:
March 3, April 7, May 5, June 2, July 7,
Aug. 4, Sept. 1, Oct. 6 and Dec. 1.
The meeting on March 3 will include an
appointment vote for secretary.

• The last day to pay First-half 2020 Mobile Home Taxes in
Madison County is Monday, March 2nd, 2020.
• Payments must be made in person at the Madison County
Treasurer’s Office until 4:00 P.M. Monday, March 2nd, 2020.
• Mailed payments must be postmarked by the Post Office
by midnight Monday, March 2nd, 2020.
• By law, first-half taxes paid after March 2nd, 2020, will incur
5% penalty for the first ten days and after ten days: a 10% penalty
will incur regardless of whether the taxpayer has received a bill.
• If you have not received a first-half 2020 Mobile Home tax bill,
call the Treasurer’s Office immediately at 740-852-1936 or
1-877-454-3309.
