Teenager nabbed for allegedly stabbing
boyfriend to death over N3,000

Police have arrested an 18-year-old
girl, Idowu Abosede, for allegedly
stabbing her boyfriend, Aliyu
Ibrahim, to death.
According to a statement by the
command spokesperson, DSP
Abimbola Oyeyemi, the suspect was
arrested following a distress call from
Seriki Hausa in Sagamu.
Oyeyemi said: “The suspect and
her deceased boyfriend were
arguing over N3,000 as a result of
which they were dragging a knife
with each other and eventually the
girl used the knife to stab the
boyfriend on his chest, which
resulted to his death.
“On receiving the distress call, the
DPO Sagamu, SP Okiki Agunbiade,
detailed his detectives to the scene
where the suspected teenager was
apprehended.
“The bloodstained knife, which
she used to stab the
deceased, was also
recovered.
“On interrogation,
the suspect claimed
that she came to pass
the night with the
deceased and when
she was about going
in the morning, she
took N3,000 from the
deceased but he was
not ready to give her
the N3,000 and that
was what led to the
argument between
them.
“She further stated
that it was the
deceased who brought
out the knife and while
dragging it with him,
the knife stabbed him
on his chest.”

yesterday, but were restrained from
doing so by the police.
The source said: “Perhaps the
police or relevant security agencies
are investigating circumstances
surrounding the boy’s death, but
his body has been deposited at the
morgue at General Hospital

Contacted, yesterday, the

Mr Onen Onen, who confirmed
the death of the student, said he
did not have details of the incident
as he was not in town when it
occurred.

chance robbery gang,
Matthew Tokeme, who is
currently being investigated by
the Lagos State Police
Command has revealed that he
started operating a one chance
syndicate two weeks ago.
According to the father of
four, who uses his Sienna bus
with number plate APP488FH
for public transportation, “I live
in 2, Olawoye Street, at Sango.
My friend bought the Sienna
bus for me to use for
transportation but I started
using it for one chance.”
"We are three that usually go
for operations. We ply Abule
Egba-Ifako Ijaye route
between five and six in the
morning when workers and
traders are going to their
places of work.
"For instance, when a
passenger going to Victoria
Island board our vehicle, if we
get to a particular location we
will stop and disposses the
victims of their valuables.
“We don’t use guns, if the
victims are very stubborn we
threaten them till they part
with their phones and
laptops. We carry only one
passenger at a time while my
gang members sit like
passengers.
"I haven’t made much from
the operations. When we went
for the first operation it was
successful and then we went
for another.
The second operation I got
a laptop and a phone. We
didn’t collect money from
anyone because she was
having just N700.
I sold the phone N5,000
while the laptop was sold
N20,000.
