Woman allegedly struck
car while intoxicated
A Frankfort woman received
multiple citations
Feb. 25 after allegedly driving
off the road and into a
vehicle for sale while under
the influence of alcohol.
Mary J. Zeniecki, 61,
of 201 Mulberry Road
in Frankfort, was cited
in the 9700 block of Lincoln
Highway for alleged
failure to reduce speed
to avoid an accident, improper
lane usage; DUI
and having a blood alcohol
concentration above .08.
According to Frankfort
Deputy Police Chief
Kevin Keegan, an officer
responded to the scene and
determined a white Nissan
Murano was traveling
westbound on Lincoln
Highway, left the roadway,
drove through a bush, hit
a Phillips Chevrolet sign
and struck a new Camaro
for sale on the Chevrolet
lot. Keegan said the officer
met with the Nissan’s driver,
identified as Zeniecki,
who was not injured, and
detected an odor of an alcoholic
beverage emitting
from her mouth and person.
Zeniecki had glossy,
dilated eyes and slow,
slurred and deliberate
speech. Keegan said. Zeniecki
was taken into police
custody after failing
field sobriety testing, and
her blood alcohol concentration
was above the legal
limit, police said.
Feb 23
• Rickey Murff, 35, of 29
W. Oakley Drive in Westmont,
was cited in the area
of Georgetown Commons
and Harlem Avenue for alleged
DUI and unsafe tires.
According to Keegan, an
officer observed a vehicle
in the area pulled off the
roadway with its hazard
lights activated and a front
flat tire. Keegan said the
officer approached the
driver’s side window and
was initially unsuccessful
in waking the driver,
who was asleep, despite
knocking several times.
After entering the vehicle
through an unlocked door,
the officer was able to
wake the driver, later identified
as Murff, after several
attempts, Keegan said.
Murff reportedly had a
strong odor of an alcoholic
beverage emitting from his
mouth and slurred speech.
He was taken into police
custody after reportedly
failing field sobriety testing.
• An unsecured vehicle reportedly
was stolen from
a residential street in the
21400 block of Brittany
Drive.
• Miscellaneous items reportedly
were stolen from
an unsecured vehicle in the
21200 block of Longview
Drive.
Feb. 17
• Toure L. Robinson, 45, of
21373 Old North Church
Road in Frankfort, was arrested
in the 7200 block of
West Lincoln Highway for
alleged criminal trespass
to property.
Feb. 16
• Joe Scott, 44, of 122 Hay
St. in Park Forest, was
cited in the area of South
Frankfort Square Road
and West Glenshire Drive
for alleged failure to signal
and driving with a suspended
license.
Feb. 15
• Raphael Martell Grant,
28, of 1630 Fordem Ave.
in Madison, Wisc., was
cited in the area of 191st
Street and 76th Avenue for
allegedly having no registration
light and driving
with a suspended license.
Feb. 11
• Freddie White, 38, of
21147 Sophia Drive in
Matteson, was cited in
the area of West Lincoln
Highway and Woodbridge
Drive for allegedly driving
with a revoked license.
• A laser, two battery chargers
with batteries, an impact
drill and a flashlight
reportedly were stolen
from a storage container in
the 24000 block of South
Harvest Hills Road.
