The 42U-tall, 24 inch system rack that houses the<br />

CEC, BPA, <strong>and</strong> I/O drawers.<br />

9119-<strong>595</strong> powered Expansion Rack.<br />

Used for additional 24 inch I/O drawer expansion.<br />

The #5792 supports the RIO-2 I/O Drawers<br />

(#5791 <strong>and</strong> #5794). It does not support the 12X<br />

I/O Drawers (#5797 nor #5798). It can support a<br />

bolted on Expansion Rack #8691.<br />

#8691 Expansion Rack, 24 inch, 42U, unpowered.<br />

<strong>Power</strong> can come from attachment to either the<br />

<strong>595</strong> system rack or a #5792.<br />

rack for RIO-2 I/O drawers #5791, #5807, #5808,<br />

or #5809.<br />

<strong>Power</strong>VM is the family of technologies, capabilities, <strong>and</strong> offerings that deliver industry-leading<br />

virtualization on <strong>Power</strong> servers. It is the umbrella br<strong>and</strong>ing term for <strong>Power</strong> Systems<br />

Virtualization capabilities, under control of the <strong>POWER6</strong> Hypervisor, that include:<br />

► Dynamic LPAR: Movement of processor capacity <strong>and</strong> main storage amounts from one<br />

partition to another, Virtual LAN, <strong>and</strong> Virtual SCSI.<br />

► Micro-partitioning: Up to 10 micro-partitions per processor.<br />

► Multiple Shared Processor Pools: Partitions can be assigned to use specific pools.<br />

► Virtual I/O Server: A Virtual I/O server partition can own I/O that is used by client<br />

partitions.<br />

► Shared Dedicated Capacity: A partition using dedicated processors can enable its<br />

processor capacity, when not being used, for use by other processors.<br />
