Bold Blazer and Cargo Pants: Huge
jackets that had a moment last fall are
coming up to be a little more tailored.
Designers recommend these to be paired
with ankle length pants, short skirts or
shorts. “Spring sees the trend of cargos
back in full force with an updated version
of being high waist with cropped straight
legs made available in earthy khaki colours.
Pair these with feminine blouses and
strappy heels for a contemporary twist.
Jumpsuits are also a part of this trend,”
says Anu PD.
For Kamakshi Kaul, VP Design Head, Max
Fashion, long shirt dresses, tea dresses
(midi length dresses), tiered flowy maxi
dress, body shaper bottoms, top to toe
neutrals, jumpsuits will find a place back in
the closets of women who are in the age
bracket of the 30s to 50s.
Denim: This season super-oversized trucker
jackets, loose-legged jeans and denim
cargo pants will be seen. “Don’t be afraid
of colour or of layering up multiple shades
in one look. Bleached-out is big, as is acidwash
denim to show up in patch-pocket
jeans, jackets and vests to wear with this
season's sugary pastels,” shares Anu PD.
Sarees with Bikini Bras: “Taking the centre
stage my IN design are sarees with bikini
bras and modern cut hemlines, with fabrics
ranging from brocade and raw silk to
velvet, georgette, organza, chiffon,
georgette, brocades, soft silk and net- the
collection caters to a wide a range of
pallets,” says PayalKeyal, Founder Designer
& Couturier.
Colours of the season
To be synonymous with the brightness of
the Spring-Summer season, there will be a
whole lot of saturated colours with neons
that will be in. Experts believe that toneon-tone
Beige and Caramel, yellows in the
form of Gold, Pastel Yellow, Turmeric,
shades of pink, including the loud magenta
and gorgeous blues that will all make an
impressionable presence.
Salsa Red, Insignia Blue, Aspen Gold,
Eclipse Blue, Pepper Stem Green, neon are
colours of the season tells us, Kamakshi
Kaul.
Sophisticated pastel shades will also be in
vogue this spring. “I have used mostly
sophisticated pastels shades like Ivory,
pink, rose gold and other bold colours like
gold and maroon as part of the spring
collection. This spring 2019 features a huge
non-bridal collection, as well as wedding
wear, is what we as a brand established
for,” says Payal Keyal.
Prints Used
One of the fastest ways to put a little
spring is to mix up your prints -- animal
prints, stripes of all types, tropical florals,
checks, polka dots etc. These can be a mix
or a stand-alone, both showing huge
likeable factor. Again, tie-dye is back in
action and has its presence in every piece
of dress be it t-shirt, dresses saree or
swimsuits. Breezy dresses in pop colours
and floral prints are the best way to greet
spring after the grey winters tell our
experts.
