With 70% of the portion of our green Earth covered with
water, it naturally makes the sea a whole new breathtaking world
with wonders one can’t even imagine. Going deep into the
dark blue enigma, is an eye opener to the mysteries of Mother
Nature. Snorkeling, or underwater diving, while worthwhile, has
got to be trained and prepared for.
Scuba diving is basically going under the sea, breathing and capturing
memories which very few are privileged with, if armed
and trained, would make it even more exotic. Therefore, the
divers are provided with a few gadgets and instruments. Let’s
look into the account:
To start with, you just can’t jump in and swim on the risk
of your life and underwater creatures’. You either need to have
a diving certificate or take a ‘scuba diving resort course’. If none
of these, they will send a team of professionals along with you
so that you’re not forgotten behind among the whales. If you
take a good look at the picture above, you will see a few swimmers
dressed in bizarre costumes.
Those are actually the “Scuba Gear”. The basics stuff you will
always need is the mask, fins and snorkel.
Coming to the accessories, the first thing scuba divers take
along with them is a little dive knife. This knife is not purposefully
for fighting off the scary sharks, but more to help you free
yourself if ever caught in line while diving. The shape of the knife
is to be chosen accurately. It has a blunt or pointed tip; blunt tip
is preferred since it would not stab anything unintentionally.
Plus, knife is made of titanium material just so it doesn’t rust.
Secondly, you can’t just let it go like that, aquatic pictures are
priceless. To capture the fascination you will need an underwater
camera.
There is a variety:
SURVIVAL
AN UNDERWATER DIVE TO EXPLORE
THE EXOTIC WORLD BENEATH
point-and-shoot:- compact, easy to use cameras for casual pictures,
digital SLRs:- these have multiple lenses and capture the
vibrant colors,.
Full-featured: - these cameras are amalgamates of ‘point-andshoot’
and ‘DSLRs’, handy and hi-tech.
Next comes something that keeps track of your time under
the waters. Your body absorbs nitrogen during a dive and it’s
important to keep this nitrogen within acceptable limits.
