Credit/No Credit Option<br />

(Undergraduate Students Only)<br />

Undergraduate students selecting<br />

the Credit/No Credit option must do<br />

so by the end of the third week of<br />

instruction, for <strong>Summer</strong> Session One<br />

and Regular Session: June 2, <strong>2020</strong>,<br />

and by July 11, <strong>2020</strong> for <strong>Summer</strong><br />

Session Two. Credit/No Credit forms<br />

are available from the Extension<br />

Ofce, the Ofce of Records &<br />

Registration, and Information and<br />

Service Center, and must be submitted<br />

by the deadline. For additional<br />

conditions or limitations of the Credit/<br />

No Credit option, consult the current<br />

<strong>CSUDH</strong> catalog at: www.csudh.edu/<br />

university-catalog<br />

ADD or DROP Classes<br />

1. Complete the ADD/DROP<br />

information on the Change of<br />

Program form, available from the<br />

College of Extended & International<br />

Education Registration Ofce<br />

EE 1100, in the Extended Education<br />

Complex. Use the schedule number<br />

(5 numbers), department name (3<br />

letters), course number (3 numbers)<br />

and section number (2 numbers).<br />

2. If adding, have the instructor sign<br />

the form.<br />

3. If dropping, enter the information<br />

in the DROP position of the card.<br />

Instructor’s signature is not required<br />

before end of third week.<br />

4. Return the Change of Program form<br />

to the Extended Education Ofce.<br />

5. Present your receipt and I.D. card.<br />

6. Conditions for dropping a course<br />

after the third week are outlined in<br />

the current <strong>CSUDH</strong> Catalog.<br />

A student who enrolls in a course,<br />

discontinues attendance, and<br />

does not ofcially drop the course<br />

RP Report in Progress—credit is<br />

deferred until completion of<br />

Course Numbering System<br />

The course numbering system for the<br />

University is based upon three-digit<br />

numbers as follows:<br />

000-099 Sub-collegiate courses, not<br />

for baccalaureate credit<br />

100-199 Lower division courses,<br />

normally taken in the<br />

freshman year<br />

200-299 Lower division courses,<br />

normally taken in the<br />

sophomore year<br />

300-399 Upper division courses,<br />

normally taken in the<br />

junior year<br />

400-499 Upper division courses,<br />

normally taken in the senior<br />

year 500-599 Graduate<br />

courses, normally limited to<br />

graduate students<br />

Use of the I.D. Card<br />

The I.D. Card must be carried at all<br />

times and be validated each term.<br />

A current I.D. Card is necessary<br />

to perform certain transactions in<br />

Admissions, Records and Registration,<br />

the Library, the Business Ofce and<br />

other campus ofces. I.D. cards for<br />

<strong>Summer</strong> <strong>Sessions</strong> students will be<br />

issued at the Extended Education<br />

Ofce.<br />

Disabled Student Services<br />

Students with verifed disabilities,<br />

which are permanent or temporary<br />

(e.g., broken bones, strained back,<br />

other sprains, etc.) are eligible for a<br />

variety of support services from the<br />

Disabled Student Services Ofce.<br />

Information regarding special facilities<br />

and services available to students<br />

with a disability may be obtained<br />

from the Director of Disabled Student<br />

Services Ofce, located in Welch Hall,<br />

Ofce Hours for College of<br />

Extended & International Education<br />

The College of Extended &<br />

International Education Registration<br />

Ofce is located in the Extended<br />

Education Complex, EE 1100, on the<br />

west side of the campus just south<br />

of Victoria Street. The College of<br />

Extended Education is open from<br />

8am-8pm, Monday through Thursday;<br />

8am-5pm on Friday and from 8am-<br />

1:30pm on Saturday. The telephone<br />

number is (310) 243-3741.<br />

Parking<br />

Parking permits are required for oncampus<br />

classes. They are available<br />

from the yellow machines at the<br />

entrance of each parking lot for $9.00<br />

per day. A parking permit good for<br />

the semester may be purchased for<br />

$155.00 from the Cashier’s Ofce.<br />

Library Services<br />

Student identifcations cards—<br />

available at the Extended Education<br />

Ofce—will entitle you to full use of<br />

the Cain Education Resources Center.<br />
