OLGA BOZNAŃSKA,
‘GRANNY’S NAME DAY’ (1889)
ABOUT THE PAINTING
The painting ‘Granny’s Name Day’ by Olga
Boznańska (1865-1940) shows a girl who is about to say
happy name day wishes to her grandmother and give
her some flowers she might have picked up herself. I
guess she is planning to sing a song or say a poem to
celebrate the occasion.
The look on the girl’s face tells us she probably feels
excited and concentrated. I presume the granny has no
idea what the girl is up to so it’s going to be a big
surprise and the girl doesn’t want to reveal anything.
The grandaughter is wearing an elegant dress. She looks
a bit stressed and uneasy, standing straight and a little
stiff. Maybe she is not sure she can remember the lyrics
or the poem well? Or maybe she was mischievous and
now she is not sure how granny will react to the wishes?
The girl’s cheeks are blushing so she must be animated
and a bit tense. Although the occassion is joyful, there
is something melancholic about the painting. Maybe
Olga Boznańska wanted to depict different stages of
woman’s life?
STANISŁAW WYSPIAŃSKI,
‘MOTHERHOOD’ (1904)
ABOUT THE PAINTING
The painting ‘Motherhood’ by Stanisław Wyspiański
(1869-1907) shows the artist’s wife and one of their three
children. I think it’s important that the people in the
picture were not strangers. You can almost feel the
warmth of feelings behind the picture. Gazing at this
intimate scene, we feel almost like intruders.
Mother looks overjoyed and delighted. Maybe she is a
bit tired but it doesn’t seem to matter. The child feels
safe and relaxed, being in his mum’s arms. I guess the
baby appreciates his mum’s attention and
uncodditional love. You can see immediately that the
relationship between those two is simply unbreakable.
Although the baby is very young, his eyes, which by the
way match perfectly the colour of his coat, seem to
express serious emotions, maybe even wisdom.
The delicate colours used in the picture boost subtle
affection shown in the painting.
‘Motherhood’ by Wyspiański awakens sweet and calm
feelings in me. When I become mother in the future I
hope to have such a beautiful relationship with my baby.
Gabrysia, Poland
JACEK MALCZEWSKI,
‘THE POISONED WELL’ (1906)
ABOUT THE PAINTING
The painting The Poisoned Well by Jacek Malczewski (1854-1929)
shows a girl looking at water. If we didn’t knew the disturbing title of
the painting, we would think it’s just a casual scene. The title changes
all!
The girl looks sweet and innocent, which is enhanced by colours she is
wearing: white and blue, which makes us think about Virgin Mary.
The look on the girl’s face is intense, she seems to be hypnotized by the
poisoned well, tempted to have a sip. We don’t know if the girl is aware
of the danger. I feel like screaming to the girl ‘Don’t drink it!!!’ The
problem is she might have already drunk the toxic water…
The girl seems relaxed and calm, playing with her hair, sitting still, not
realizing she can die if she drinks the poison.
She’s on her own in a dangerous place, probably feeling lonely and
abandoned. I wish I could help the girl.
Maybe Jacek Malczewski wanted to tell us that no matter how innocent
we are, the evil is magnetic and tempting?
I found a poem by Lucjan Rydel, a Polish writer, about this picture and
translated it into English:
And the future? And the young? ... On the well of the graveyard
A girl, little poor thing, sat down
In her veins the poison flows together with the blood,
Neither blush on that pale face
Nor the smile of youth.
Still looking at the water mirror
As if she saw the future down there -
Will she guess the secret of these waters? ...
Ola, Poland
TADEUSZ MAKOWSKI,
‘CHILDREN’S BAND’ (1922)
ABOUT THE PAINTING
The children depicted by Tadeusz Makowski (1882-
1932) look happy and excited. They appear to be proud
of themselves because their performance attracts
people. You can see their listeners in the window. They
are admiring the little orchestra. Even a dog and a
rooster seem to be enchanted by the music.
RAFAŁ OLBIŃSKI, ‘CONVENTIONAL
SENTIMENT II’ (2018)
ABOUT THE PAINTING
The main theme of the painting by Rafał Olbiński
(born in 1943) seems to be love. In my opinion, the two
people in the picture feel gleeful. They are probably
hopeful and thrilled as this is the beginning of their
‘journey’ through life together. We can’t see the faces of
the couple but nevertheless we can guess their positive
emotions.
The man and the woman look as if they stopped
suddenly, in awe of the beautiful sight, both the real and
the symbolic one, spreading in front of them.
The vibrant colours used in the picture tell us that we
should feel definitely optimistic about the man and
woman’s future together. The painting suggests that
love is like a ‘stairway to heaven’.
The dominant colours in the picture are white and blue.
These colours make us think about the freshness, purity
and delicacy of feelings between the two people in the
painting. The red dress of the girl suggests that love is
in the air.

Love Life
A small brochure
about
CALCIUM
CALCIUM
Why is Calcium important ?
Bones grow rapidly during adolescence, and teens
need enough calcium to build strong bones and fight
bone loss later in life.
Bone calcium begins to decrease in young adulthood
and people gradually lose bone density as they age.
Teens, especially girls, whose diets don't provide the
nutrients to build bones to their maximum potential
are at greater risk of developing the bone disease
osteoporosis, which increases the risk of fractures
from weakened bones.
Calcium also plays an important role in muscle
contraction, transmitting messages through the
nerves, and the release of hormones. If people aren't
getting enough calcium, the body takes calcium from
the bones to ensure normal cell function, which can
lead to weakened bones.
CALCIUM
How much do we need ?
Adults over the age of 18 years need
around
700 mg of calcium per day.
There are other circumstances where
more calcium is required.
This may be if you:
•Are aged 9-18 years
1300 mg
Children aged 4-8 years need about
800 mg
CALCIUM
Where can we find it ?
Dairy products. Low-fat milk, yogurt, cheese, and cottage
cheese are good sources of calcium.
Soy foods. Turn to calcium-fortified (or "calcium-set")
tofu, soy milk, tempeh, soy yogurt, and cooked soybeans
(edamame).
Calcium-fortified foods. Look for calcium-fortified orange
juice, soy or rice milk, breads, and cereal.
Beans. You can get decent amounts of calcium from
baked beans, navy beans, white beans, and others.
Canned fish. You're in luck if you like sardines and canned
salmon with bones.
Almond milk

My motto: "Art is not fun, art is passion"
I was born in the former Soviet Union, in the Republic of
Moldova, into an artist family. An origin that shapes my future
life to this day. I was educated at the Art Lyceum in Chisinau
and later in St. Petersburg before studying at the Tallinn
Academy of Fine Arts, Estonia. I graduated with a diploma in
painting and art education. Specialization of my studies was art
in construction, where I learned the art of fresco and stained
glass, mosaics and other design techniques.
During my international artistic activity, I have carried out
several commissioned works for spatial design in public, sacred
and private estates, and have participated in exhibitions on
several occasions.
I have been living and working in Germany since 1996 and am
working as a lecturer at the Munich Volkshochschule. Since
2011 I have also been working in Switzerland artistically and
pedagogically.

About Romy Campe
The Berlin-based artist Romy Campe studied painting and
graphics at the IBKK Bochum and runs the renowned art
magazine Kunstleben Berlin. In 2006, Romy Campe began
creating fine art pieces, art prints, collages, sculptures and
more. Campe finds inspiration in the people around her. In their
energy, feelings and the interpersonal relationships. Human
Energy is the strongest, she says. It can move mountains or dig
insurmountable trenches. Campe grew up in the anonymous
city of Berlin. Even as a child, she intensively observes the
people around her and invented fantasy stories. Every neighbor,
every teacher or roommate got his own role. Now she transfers
these stories to art. Romy Campes works are exhibited
internationally. For example in Berlin, New York or Bonair.
PIEROGI
PIEROGI is the most popular Polish food. They are thinly rolled-out dough
filled with a variety of fillings, savory or sweet. The most common fillings
are meat, sauerkraut with mushrooms, spinach, buckwheat, potatoes with
fried onions and cottage cheese, seasonal fruit (blueberries, strawberries
and cherries).
Ingredients
• 1 egg yolk
• 1½ teaspoons oil
• 2 cups flour, plus more for kneading
• 2 teaspoons salt, plus more for cooking
• 2 tablespoons sour cream or cream cheese
• filling cooled
• 4 tablespoons butter
In a medium bowl, beat together the egg yolk and oil with ½ cup cold
water. Set aside.
In a large bowl or the bowl of stand mixer fitted with the dough hook,
combine the flour and salt and mix for about 30 seconds. Add the sour
cream, 2 tablespoons cold water, and the egg mixture to the flour. Mix until
the ingredients are thoroughly combined and the dough is creamy and
pliable, about 15 minutes. The dough should not be too sticky; if it is, add
a little flour and continue mixing. When the dough is silky and elastic,
remove from the bowl and place on a floured surface. Cover and let it sit
for 30 minutes.
On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to ⅛ inch thick using a
rolling pin. Use a 4-inch round cutter to cut out circles of dough.
To make the pierogis, stretch a dough circle slightly with your fingertips
and place about 1½ tablespoons of the filling onto the center of the dough.
Bring the edges of the circles together to form a half-circle. Using your
thumbs, crimp the edges to form a tight seal. (If the dough won’t seal,
moisten the edges with cold water.) Place on a lightly floured baking sheet.
Repeat with the remaining circles of dough. If making ahead of time, the
uncooked pierogi can be frozen on a waxed paper–lined baking sheet.
Once frozen, transfer to resealable plastic bags and freeze for up to 3
months.
To cook, bring a large pot of salted water to a low boil. Place the dumplings
in the boiling water and cook until they float, 2 to 3 minutes. Remove with
a slotted spoon and place in a colander to drain.
In a large, heavy-bottomed skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of the butter.
Working in batches, cook the pierogi over medium-high heat until lightly
browned, 5 to 7 minutes, adding more butter to the pan as needed. Serve
immediately.
ŻUREK
This unique soup is traditionally eaten around Easter time. It’s
known as the Polish Ryemeal Soup and is made by fermenting
the cereal (Rye) and cooking it with sausage, bacon or ham.
Ingredients
for zakwas (the sour liquid):
• 5 tablespoons rye flour
• Crust from a slice of rye bread (optional)
• 3 cups water
• 4 cloves garlic, crushed
• 3 bay leaves
• 5 allspice berries
for the soup:
• 4 slices bacon, diced
• 1 pound Polish sausage or brautwurst, sliced
• 2 large onions, coarsely chopped
• 1 large carrot, sliced
• 1 large parsnip, sliced
• 1/2 celery root, peeled and diced
• 6 – 8 cups water
• 1 bay leaf
• 2 cloves crushed garlic
• 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
• 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
• salt & pepper, to taste
• 2 tablespoon horseradish (fresh grated or jarred)
• 2 tablesppons cream
• hard boiled eggs
for the zakwas (the sour liquid)
1. Add the flour and crust (if you’re using it) to a large jar
2. Add the water, garlic, bay leaves, and allspice
3. Mix thoroughly, as it sits, it will seperate with the flour sinking to the bottom
4. Cover the jar with a paper towel or kitchen towel (I like to secure it with a large
rubber band)
5. Let sit for five days, giving it a swirl daily to mix
for the soup:
1. Brown the bacon and sasage in a Dutch oven
2. Add the onion, carrot, parsnip and celery root
3. Add water and bay leaf and garlic, simmer for 40 minutes
4. Add the potatoes and marjoram, cook until the potatoes are tender
5. Add 2 cups of the zakwas (strained or flour mixed in, your choice) if you want
the soup more sour, add the remaining zakwas
6. Season with salt and pepper
7. Add horseradish and cream
8. Return to a boil and remove from heat
9. Serve garnishing with hard boiled egg, halved, quarted, or diced
BIGOS
Bigos – Polish Hunter Stew – is a traditional Polish dish that
originated in Medieval times. Sauerkraut, sausage,
mushrooms, prunes, and spices are braised in red wine for
hours to achieve this amazing comfort food.
Ingredients
• 6 cups Sauerkraut or 2 - 1 pounds jars
• 1 package porcini mushrooms about 20 grams
• 1/4 cabbage shredded
• 1 carrot medium, shredded
• 10 oz dried mushrooms cut
• 1 cup red wine
• 1/2 cup prunes pitted, roughly chopped
• 2 tbsp tomato paste
• 1 onion medium, yellow, chopped
• 2 cups sausage cubed
• 2 bay leaves
• 1/4 teaspoon rosemary dried
• 1/4 teaspoon caraway seeds
• 1/4 teaspoon garlic granulated
• 1/4 teaspoon sweet paprika
• 1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds granulated
• 1/4 teaspoon coriander
• 1/2 teaspoon sugar
• Salt & Black Pepper to taste
• 3 tbsp olive oil
Place dried mushrooms in a bowl, submerge them in water and let sit for an
hour;
Rinse the sauerkraut and chop it. Place it in large pot and submerge with water,
cook it for about an hour, adding water if needed so that the sauerkraut is fully
covered. After fully cooked, let the water reduce by half;
In a frying pan, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil, a chopped onion and fry it for about
5 minutes until golden brown;
Remove the onions and set aside. Add another tablespoon of oil to the same pan,
baby bella mushrooms, and season with salt & pepper and cook for about 5
minutes, until soft and cooked through;
Remove the mushrooms and set aside. Add another tablespoon of oil to the same
pan and your kielbasa. Cook until golden brown, or for about 5 minutes;
When sauerkraut is soft and the water has reduced by half, add chopped
cabbage, and carrot; mix together and let cook for about 5 minutes;
Carefully remove dried mushrooms from the bowl and chop them. Be careful
not to grab the dirt which inevitably fell down to the bottom of the bowl;
Into the pot with your sauerkraut, add cooked onions, mushrooms, kielbasa, red
wine, tomato paste and all seasonings;
Let it cook for another half hour to an hour, mixing often until all the ingredients
are well blended;
Season with salt and pepper, if needed;
It can be served immediately with bread or potatoes. Additionally, it can be
reheated the next day and I suspect you'll be presently surprised at how well the
dish aged!
BARSZCZ
Christmas Eve Beet Soup (barszcz wigiljny in Polish) is a
traditional soup, served on Christmas Eve dinner. The Christmas
Eve/Wigilia dinner can last for hours and consists mostly of 12
dishes, starting with red Borscht.
Ingredients
• vegetables: 2 carrots piece of leek (white part), piece of celery, ½ parsley
root, 2 sprigs parsley leaves
• 1 kg / 2.2 lbs beets
• ½ apple sweet variety
• 1 medium onion
• 3 cloves garlic
• 10 peppercorns
• 3 allspice berries
• 2 bay leaves
• 1 clove
• ½ star anise
• 2 l / 2 qt water
• 1 cup sauerkraut and mushroom cooking water from the sauerkraut and
mushroom pierogi recipe OR mushroom cooking water (from the uszka
dumplings recipe)
• 1 tablespoon dried marjoram
• 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
• 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
• ½ tablespoons lemon juice
• salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
The first day:
1. Wash all the soup vegetables and beets. Peel carrots, celeriac, parsley
roots and beets (use gloves!), cut into 3-4 cm / 1-½ inch pieces. Cut the leek in
half, rinse thoroughly. Fire roast the onion on a gas burner or cut in half, put
the cut-side down in a small pot, heat over high heat until it’s dark in color.
2. Add all the vegetables into a large pot, add half an apple (with peel),
peeled garlic cloves, pour in 2 liters / quarts cold water.
3. Cover with a lid and bring to a boil over very low heat, it should take
about 20-30 minutes.
4. When the broth is boiling, add the peppercorns, bay leaves, allspice,
clove, star anise and a teaspoon of salt. Simmer over a very low heat, covered,
for about 2 hours.
5. Leave to cool, then put in the fridge overnight, don’t strain the
vegetables!
On the second day:
1. Strain and discard the vegetables and spices.
2. Add the sauerkraut and mushroom cooking water / mushroom cooking
water, but not all of it at first. Add a little (especially if you’re adding
mushroom cooking water) and make sure that the aroma is not too strong,
then you can add more. If you’ve added mushroom cooking water (not
sauerkraut and mushroom cooking water) it’s possible you’ll have to add a
little more vinegar or lemon juice later.
3. Heat the borscht until very warm.
4. Season with apple cider vinegar, rice vinegar and lemon juice (a little at a
time) until nicely sweet and sour. If you overdo it with vinegar or the soup is
not sweet enough, you can add some powdered sugar. Add the marjoram and
at the end, season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm with uszka
dumplings.
FAWORKI (CHRUST)
Angel wings or Faworki are traditional sweet crisp pastry made
out of dough that has been shaped into thin twisted ribbons,
deep-fried and sprinkled with powdered sugar.
Ingredients
• 500 g plain flour
• 4-5 yolks
• 2 Tbsp vinegar (I substituted with rum)
• pinch of salt
• 200 g sour cream
• 3 packets of shortening deep-fry (you can use it also oil or lard)
• icing sugar for sprinkling
Place all ingredients in a bowl. Knead a dough. You can use a mixer. It
takes quite a long time. You will know that the dough is ready when it
will be smooth and elastic. If it is too dry add an extra one or two
tablespoons of the sour cream.
And now the fun part. Put the dough on the counter and start beating it
with a rolling pin. If you beat it well, you will get more air bubbles and
your chrusty will be lighter and better. Cover the dough with a kitchen
towel and leave it in a fridge for an hour.
Split the dough into a few smaller parts and roll it very thin. If you have
a pasta roller, use it. The thinner the better. Mine was still too thick. Cut
the rolled dough into rectangles 6-cm long and 4-cm wide (they should
be longer than wider and shouldn’t be bigger than a pot you are frying
them in). Cut a slit in the middle of every rectangle. And pull one end
through the slit.
Heat fat or oil in a big pot or saucepan to 175°C. Use enough oil that
chrusty can float freely.
Fry chrusty around 1 minutes on every side (or until golden). Don’t
overcrowd the pan, as the oil temperature will drop down. Flip them
using wooden skewers.
Take them out of the oil and put it on a plate covered with paper towel
to absorb extra oil.
Sprinkle chrusty with the icing sugar.

Culture is a word for the 'way they do things, exellence of taste
in the ne, art and humanities, also known as high knowledge,
belief, amd behavior. The outlook attitudes, values morals, goals
and costoms shared by a socity. Every day of human life is
memorable including happy and sad memories. We spend our
day with people that we already know them or new ones, but the
best moments of life are being with people who are real humans,
humans who are gentle and kind, ethical people, respectful
people, people with dignity amd greatness. For now if i have to
sort out the best days of my life, my one week-trip to Greece will
be at the forefront. It was my rst trip who in the journey with
the students and direct with the school and the teachers i was in
touch. My one week trip to Greece and the experiences i gained
it, maybe in my life it would be unrepeatable. Maybe i should be
traveling to other countires again, but the humanity and
kindness of the Greek people will be unforgettable to me. Again i
feel like one of the happiest student, because of including the
Greece travel. Greece is a nice country located in southeast
Europa. Athens is the capital of Greece. Greek is the language of
Greece. Greece has a special history, eventful history and rich
culture heritage. Greek people are ethical, kind and hospitable.
During a week that i was in Greece i experienced so many
interesting things. I am a realist and honest person, in this text i
am trying to write the climax of the facts about Greece and
Greek people. If i were to write down the details of the trip, it
might take months. But i will try to write it very brie y. I dont
exaggerate as much i write about the good of the Greek people
and the culture of Greek people. After two hour jouney we nally
arrived at the Greek school. We were outside the school and the
Greek studets were inside the school. We were waiting for the
family to spend a week with them. The joy i saw in the faces of
the students inside the school, really made me energized.
Students of Greek were very very pleased to see us. The distance
between us and the students was just a gate, when the gute
opened all the students rushed towards us. All the students
embraced us without any sence of alienation. We were
wellcomed well by chocolates and fruit juices. On the rts the
we take the honor of knowing with all the students of the school
till four o clock in the afternoon. At four o clock we went to
home. After ending the tiredness and donig a short
rest/relaxing, we went to Athens Mall. With German students
and the mothers of Greek students also Frieda's mother. Frida's
mother aas the best woman i have ever known. We returned
home after the porchase completed. When i got into the room i
supposed to be there for a week, it was very special and
beautifully arrenged. After spending the night, we went to
school at 8 o clock in the morning. We were very happy with the
activities we were supposed to be doing it till 13:00 o clock. In
ther afternoon all of the students were having fun walking
around town and eating together. We were proud to see the
beautiful placess lf Marousi and Athens. Every night in Greece
we were till 23:00 o clock in outside with Greek friends. I have
been living in Germnay for two years, but i dont have 2 real
friends. But in a week i had found more than twenty close
friends. The Greece people are very friendly people after two
years of leaving my country, this week was very special to me. In
this week i was really glad. I saw the intimate atmosphere, we
laughed from the heart, we said from the heart, me and my
friends. Although our language was diffrent and there were
some Greek students who were not english speaking. But we
understood each others wholeheartedly. My habits and the
habits of my Greek friends were very similar. If i am going to
continue writing about this short week trip maybe i looks like a
big book. But i summerized it. The last day when students were
asked if the were lucky or happy enough to return to Germany
or not? The German students said no they said that, thay want
to stay in Greece at least one week more. We were all very sad
about the ending of this pleasant and memorable week. In the
air eld Jermain said, that "lets wait here and miss tge ight, so
we can stay here one more.
and gave me the famous food of Greek like gift but
unfortunately the guards of air eld took this famous food from
me i became really sad. Now i miss Greece i miss ghe Students of
Greece. I hope i can meet them one time more. This is my text
about the beautiful country Greece. ❤
The people were friendly and they treated us very good. Our
host family made an interesting excursion in the city, they
showed us their city, food and many other things. We did
interesting lessons, where we learned how to trust and to
improve relationships with other people. I liked the day of
"Olympics games", because I took part of these games. I was
surprised, when i saw how students from differents ages were
allways together. These students were like a big family. I am very
pleased, because i am taking part of this interesting project
Erasmus. I learn a lot of new information from every experience
from other students, schools and countries. Thanks to this
project "Erasmus", because this project is giving nice experience
to students and improving relationship with other countries and
students.
The trip to greece was one of the best trips of my life. I met so
many great people that i miss. The arrival was so exciting
because all of the greek students were starring at us. We felt just
like we were stars. I liked it

A chess competition
Italian students have spent about two hours playing chess with
an expert: one against all. Moments full of concentration but also
a lot of enjoyement.
approaches a person, the singing bowls produce different
sounds or the sound may last longer or shorter. The singing
bowls also help with our concentration for which we use a small
metal bowl producing special, high tone sounds.
It was extremely interesting, so we invited Ms Branka to visit us
another time.
We practice exercises to improve concentration on a regular
basis, especially during PE classes, Homeroom periods and
Music classes and we think that the sound therapy will help our
students to perform better at school.
World Mental Health Day in the Croatian
primary school
We have been celebrating this important date for two years in a
row. We had a guest, Branka Ribarić, an employee with the Old
People's Home in Umag and she did a workshop on mental
health. First, she was telling and interacted with the students
about the mental health issues in general. As we wash our teeth
everyday and keep our body clean from the outside, it is so
important to keep your mind clean and healthy too.
Our mental health is kept in good condition if we consume
healthy foods, empty our brain and relax by practicing activities,
such as taking a walk by the sea, listening to classical music,
meditating, and simply by lying on the couch in silence...
Mens sana in corpore sano - A healthy mind in a healthy body,
and vice versa.
We can have in uence on our health. If we are stressed, we will
be ill more often.
Therefore, we have to let go and empty our minds. We have to
empty the trash from our minds, just like we empty the trash can
at home or in the classroom.
Lately, there is a new therapy used to cleanse our mind and to
help ght some diseases, and it is the „Sound therapy or the
sound massage“. The sound massage is done with singing bowls
producing higher or lower sounds, depending on what we wish
to achieve. They produce sounds and vibration that goes through
our body massaging certain body parts. When a therapist
10 October is a great day to show support for the better of
mental health. A mental health problem can affect anyone. Our
mental health is just like our physical health: everybody has it
and we need to take care of it.
We all need to take care of our mental health and wellbeing
whether we have a mental health problem or not. Mental
wellbeing describes how you are feeling and how well you can
cope with day-to-day life. It can change from moment to
moment, day to day, month to month or year to year.
ADVENTUROUS SPORTS IN POLAND
Gummy-gummy
It is a game that we used to play when we were kids at school ,
like some 40 years ago. The rules have been almost forgotten.
Here, sixth grade students get together to play gummy-gummy
in the school halls, build self-esteem and communicate, and
smartphones are allowed just for taking videos.
The group needs to come up with 10 ways to play gummygummy.
Describe myself
I would like to describe myself in this text. My name is Annalena
Drees and I‘m 15 years old. I live in Zimmerschied.
I look like this: I have long brown hair and green eyes. In
addition, I’m 1.65 cm tall. My hair color is brown and I have quite
long hair.
My style of clothing is usually rather simple. I like to wear
jewelry. Especially I like to wear chains or earrings.
I was born on 14th January 2004 in Dernbach and I‘m still going
to school. I‘m visiting the Realschule Plus BEN in Bad Ems. I‘ll
nish this in 2020 with my secondary school diploma. Then I’ll
start my apprenticeship as a bank clerk. My favorite colors are
beige and pink. I prefer to meet my friends and I also go to dance
training once a week. I have been doing this for 9 or 10 years
now. We dance show dance. Every Wednesday we train hard and
we have our performances in the carnival and spring time. Our
group consists of about 20 girls and we understand each other
more than just good. Even our trainer is like a friend to us and
we always have a lot of fun together.
I‘m a rather shy person. I nd it dif cult to deal openly with
strangers. In addition, I’m a person who thinks very positive. I
turn everything so that something positive comes out at it.
When my friends are around me, I'm a crazy person, which many
do not think of me. Mostly I’m very spontaneous and like to do
something. I laugh a lot. Besides, I’m an emotional person.
Especially when my closest people are not feeling well, I‘m very
compassionate. In such situations, I would to give the best to
help them. I think that you can rely on me well and that I‘m a
decent person.
Also I have a boyfriend. My boyfriend makes me really happy.
He’s such a wonderful person and I’m very thankful to have him.
He supports me in every situation and we master everything
together.
What makes me also happy is the Christmas season and my
family. It’s important to me that my family and my closest friends
are well. As long as they are happy, I'm ne too. I like that I’m a
positive person and I believe in destiny. I‘ve thought about it
very often and I’m simply of the opinion that nothing happens
without a reason. In the end, everything will always be ne. For
me it’s important to others that they don’t just disperse
negativity. What makes me sad is usually negative thinkin
Computer Games
18. DEZEMBER 2019, 15:44 UHR
My Favorite Game : Temple Run /Zerda
If i’m honest I don’t play Games on my Phone i only watch TikTok
and i’m on Social Media. The only Game i play is Temple Run.
Playing Temple Run is one of the things i do when i’m bored.
In This game You are running away from a Gorilla the only things
you have to do is to turn left/ right, jump and slide.
It depends on the route.
You are running through a jungle.
You Jump by going up with your nger.
You slide by going down with your nger.
You turn Left/ Right by sliding to each side.
This Game is much fun and if you’re bored you can play it.
Advantages and disadvantages of computer
games/ Camelia
Computer games are very diverse and interesting. Many people,
regardless of age, are interested in these games. Children,
adolescents, adults and even the elderly know a great deal about
the art of technology. In addition to all this, computer games
have many advantages and disadvantages.
About computer games I can say that it develops many qualities
such as creativity, attention and concentration. Players must
strive to be focused on winning. Computer games also develop
creativity. It turned out from a quiz that those who play games
are much faster at creating new things. Also thanks to these
games you can meet new people from different corners of the
world. Most games are played in several people and so you can
make new friends.
In addition to all these advantages, computer games have many
disadvantages. Many children and teenagers become obsessed
with these games and spend entire days just in front of the
computer. This is a bad thing, because that is how they create
health problems such as loss of vision or obesity, lose contact
with the real world and don't have good relationships with family
or friends. Because of the games many people commit
aggression in order to earn a lot of money and so they can
continue playing.
Computer games are quite dangerous and many of them
develop physical violence. In my opinion, computer games are
an interesting but dangerous thing for the society in which we
live.
Bo card or number 1 card on top of your stock pile or in your
hand you may use to start a pile in the center of the play are. You
and other players have to build piles up to number 12. The
winner is the person who stays rst without cards. I like to play
this game on my computer or phone with my friends. When no
friend is online, you can play with random people or with the
computer robot.
advantages and disadvantages/ Ahmad
Video games have advantages and disadvantages.
Today it is dif cult to nd a house that does not have any other
console or computer. Both adults and young people spend
several hours a day playing, either through the media named
above or by other devices such as mobile or tablets.
The advantage are that they can teach knowledge and improve
physical and mental skills.
(Use as didactic means)
Video games can be a means of learning for people who use it
because it is a different context and more playful. They are
therefore a good means of motivation for children and young
people , as well as for children who have learning dif culties or
are even at risk.
Thanks to this means students can be motivated to learn by
creating fun feelings.
The down side or disadvantage are they can be aggressive and
make you spend too much time with them.
(lt can affect the life of the players )
If you do not have control of its use, it can affect our life in a
negative way; thus affecting our school performance, the family
and our day to day life in general.
(They present a disproportionat image of the woman's body )
In many games, sex and sensuality is an important part of the
plot or story. It is usually presented the woman as a sexual
object and with bodies disproportionate to the real ones.
This image can make it assimilate in the players that the body of
a woman should be that and not another.
My favourite game on computer: Skip-Bo/ Camelia
I don't play so many games but I have one that help me to kill my
time when I am bored. My favourite game on computer is Skip-
Bo. Skip-Bo is a card game and can be played from 2 to 6 players.
You need to draw 5 cards from the draw pile. If you have a Skip-
My favourite game is the slavik game/
Ahmad
The Slavik game is from a youtuber, who is called Slavik.
I play it because it's funny and I have fun.
You can lock the city's and players on in this game and decide
where you want to play.
You can run, jump and if you are slow and can't play fast you will
fall down and you lose.
Bush fire
Startled by a bushfire, three antelopes and three cheetahs come to the left bank of a
wide river, which they have to cross in their flight. Alligators live in the river, so swimthrough
is out of the question. You have to use the raft on your bank to get to the other
shore. This can carry a maximum of two animals and must be controlled during the
return trip of at least one animal. The antelopes may never be outnumbered on a shore,
as they would otherwise be eaten by the cheetahs.
Caught at the stake
Three researchers were captured by an Indian tribe. Blindfolded, they were
sequentially tied to three pylons that stood in a row. Then the blindfolds were removed
again. The Indian chief told them the following:
The foremost of you sees no stake in the stake, the middle one only sees the foremost
stake in the fore and the back can only see the pawns of the other two. We own five
stakeposts: two red and three black. The one of you who can tell me the color of his
stake is released. If he is wrong, he will be killed.
Five minutes passed. Then the front explorer, who could not see a stake, shouted, "My
stake is black!" He was released.
Explain how he knew that!
Divide the circular area
Explain in how many (not necessarily equal) parts you can divide a circle with four
straight lines and how these lines must lie!
example
For example, you could divide the circle into eight parts. But it is possible to get more
than eight parts!
Easter eggs
( )
Isabell, Julia, Luca, Mia and Paul searched for Easter eggs and took different lengths
(3 minutes, 5 minutes, 7 minutes, 9 minutes and 11 minutes). For each child, different
numbers of (2, 3, 4, 5 and 6) Easter eggs were hidden in one color each (blue, yellow,
green, orange and red). The eggs of one color were each decorated with the same
pattern, but each color had a different pattern (checks, dots, stars, stripes and waves).
Find out who, when and how many eggs of which color and with which pattern found.
1. Paul has found three Easter eggs.
2. The yellow eggs were found earlier than those decorated with a check pattern.
3. After nine minutes, Julia found her two Easter eggs.
4. The striped eggs were found two minutes before Paul found his Easter Eggs.
5. The red eggs were decorated with a wave pattern.
6. Mia found her Easter eggs two minutes before the orange eggs were found.
7. The eggs with a star pattern were later found as the blue easter eggs.
8. The checkered eggs were found four minutes earlier than the star-studded
Easter eggs.
9. The child, who found six easter eggs, found them before Luca found his Easter
eggs.
10. Isabell found her Easter eggs later than the person who found striped eggs.
11. The child who first found his / her eggs found less than five eggs.
12. Luca found his Easter Eggs two minutes after the eggs decorated with a wave
pattern had been found.
The house puzzle
In one street there are five houses (number 1 to 5) in which five heterosexual couples
(women: Barbara, Eva, Heidi, Nathalie, Silke and men: Hans, Julian, Luca, Silvio,
Torben) live. All houses have different numbers of rooms (4, 5, 6, 7 and 8) and different
roof types (flat roof, pent roof, pitched roof, hipped roof, tent roof).
On one side of the street are the houses with the odd house numbers, on the other
side the ones with the even house numbers. If two houses stand next to each other,
this means in the puzzle that they are standing side by side on the same street side.
Find out which couple lives in which house, how many rooms it has and which roof is
on the house.
Four researchers in the sand
Four desert researchers, let's call them (in the drawing from left to right) A, B, C and
D, will one day be captured by a desert people. They are buried up to their heads in
the sand and everyone gets a hat on:
Between C and D there is a rock. So both can not see each other. B can only see C A
can see B and C. But no one can see his own hat.
The leader of the desert people gives them the following condition: "If one of them can
call his own hat color, then all get free. If no one can do it or if one guesses wrong,
everyone will be killed. "
The desert researchers know that there are exactly two white and two gray hats. After
five minutes one solves the puzzle and says his own hat color.
Describe which researcher that was and how he knew his hat color!
The jumper problem
A jumper should start on a chessboard in the lower right corner.
Describe how he has to shape his way, if he has visited all fields exactly once and
wants to end up in the upper left corner!
A knight may always draw two boxes in one direction and one box in the direction
perpendicular to it. In the following case the knight may move to the marked boxes:
The last chance
In an ancient city, it was customary to give the doomed thieves a last chance to save
their lives. They had to pull a stone from a bag. The bag contained a white and a black
stone. If the thief drew the white stone, he was granted freedom, and if he drew the
black stone, he was hanged.
One day the king of this city was stolen one of his most precious diamonds. When the
thief was caught, the king wanted to make sure that he was hanging from the gallows.
He secretly ordered the hangman to put two black stones in the bag.
The next day, the King and his retinue and the condemned man went to the gallows to
have him cut a stone so that he could finally be hanged. Black and white stones lay
everywhere around the gallows. The executioner picked up two of them - but the
condemned man saw that he put two black stones in the bag. He already had the rope
around his neck when the idea came to him - he moved and had to be released.
The princess in the lake
A princess decided one day to go swimming in the circular lake far from the castle of
her father. As soon as she got into the water, suddenly a witch appeared who wanted
to kidnap the girl.
The princess swam quickly into the middle of the lake to think of an escape plan. She
noticed three things:
1. "The witch can run four times as fast as I can swim."
2. "The witch always tries to stay close to me."
3. "On land, I'm faster than the witch."
Explain how the girl escaped from the witch under these conditions
Prisoners in the mine
In a distant land, 50 prisoners were held by a Native American tribe. These had to work
for the tribal leader in a mine.
One day, when the tribal leader turned 50, he decided to give his prisoners a chance
to regain their freedom. He took them all into the darkness of the mine and put a hat
on everyone. Then he said to them, "I put a hat on each of you - either black or white.
At the same time you will be let out of the mine one by one. Your task is to arrange
yourselves in a row sorted by color: those with the black hats on the left, those with the
white hats on the right. You must not communicate with each other or look at your own
hat. If you succeed, you will receive the freedom. "
Develop a way for the prisoners to accomplish this task.
Pull balls
An old king wanted to give a person condemned to death one last chance to save his
life. He gave him 10 black and 10 white balls. He also got two boxes, to which the
condemned man was allowed to distribute the balls arbitrarily. The next morning he
blindly had to select one of the boxes (without touching them) and then draw a ball
from the chosen box. If this bullet is white, it would be granted freedom.
Find a distribution of bullets that will maximize your prisoner's chances of survival!
The race
Five friends have run against each other a race. After the subsequent night of drinking,
however, they can only remember a few details:
o
o
o
o
o
Tim arrived at the finish in front of Lukas.
Janina was earlier than Tim, Franz or Lukas in the finish.
Anna arrived at the finish in front of Janina or Franz.
Tim was in front of Anna or Lukas was in the finish in front of Anna.
Franz was earlier than Tim at the finish.
In addition, they still know that no two of them arrived at the same time at the finish.
The rain barrel
Two brothers stand in front of an open rain barrel and look into it. The one claims that
the rain barrel is still at least half full. The other, a naturally pessimistic man, claims the
bin is less than half full.
Describe a way for them to find out who is right without using any tools!
Researcher in the rainforest
A jungle explorer was one day captured by a local tribe. It turned out that this tribe is
made up of cannibals who wanted to kill and eat it. They said to him, "We depend on
your next statement as we prepare you: if your next words are true, we will cook you.
However, if you lie, you will be barbecued. "The researcher said something that saved
his life.
Find out what he said!
In the shopping center
At the cash desk of a shopping center, five friends (Dana, Ingo, Jessica, Sören, Valerie)
stand in a row. They are all different ages (26, 27, 30, 33 and 35 years) and would like
to buy all different tops (shirt, polo shirt, sweater, sweatshirt and T-shirt) for
themselves. The tops are all different colors (blue, yellow, green, red and black) and
different sizes (XS, S, M, L and XL).
Find out who stands where, how old and what top to buy in which color and size. The
positions in the queue can be seen from the cash register, ie "front" or "the first person"
is directly at the cash register. There are no further people in the queue and the
cashiers (inside) are to be disregarded.
1. Dana, who wants to buy a top in size XL, stands further ahead than the person
who wants to buy a black top.
2. Jessica stands in front of the person who wants to buy a polo shirt.
3. The second person in the queue wants to buy a yellow top.
4. The t-shirt is not red.
5. Sören wants to buy a sweatshirt. The person standing in front of him is older
than the person standing directly behind him.
6. Ingo needs a top in size L.
7. The last person in the queue is 30 years old.
8. The oldest person wants to buy the top in the smallest size.
9. The person standing behind Valerie wants to buy a red top that is bigger than
size S.
10. The youngest person wants to buy a yellow top.
11. Jessica wants to buy a shirt.
12. The third person in the queue wants to buy a top in size M.
13. The polo shirt is red, yellow or green.

WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY
10 October is a great day to show support for the better of
mental health.
My words - David
Times are changing .. some years ago I would have been able to
hold my small speech without a handout … but as you see .. not
only my hair is showing you that I´m getting older ….In Germany
we have a tradition that the nal classes immortalize themselves
in nal sweaters. In addition to the years and the end of the
year, there is also a motto so that you can still remember it in
later years. This is the nal sweater for my class for this
summer, some of our Erasmus children are also immortalized
here. And also for our project and this meeting it deserves to
have special souvenirs or objects that remind us of these
wonderful encounters when there are times when we are
overworked, disappointed or frustrated. Encounters like this
week help us to get sun back in our hearts, to remember small
and big experiences this week and to notice how wonderful
people are in our countries and on our planet. People who
impress us, make us laugh, motivate us to learn new things, try
things out and impress us with their character. People who are
open and helpful, and above all I would like to express my
gratitude to the wonderful guest parents who made this week an
extraordinary event for our children and who made everyone
friends of Croatia .
I have one last request, so it would be great if we could nd
many ways to spread the creative and inspiring moments and
contributions of our project a lot, be it online, in school
newspapers, on posters, through newspaper articles or just in
theirs tells the whole world how great what projects are and
how much you can gain from them.
Have a nice evening everyone and hoping to see many of you in
May in Germany.
Inspiration, new perspectives on the upbringing of young
people, new impulses for our daily work and an interesting and
varied program that gave both input and time for relaxation.
And time and possibility to get to know us better and better. My
personal highlight was to see Jola again, for most of you the rst
time … but I think you all can imagine that she is a wonderful
person and for me a special friend … and she made you curious
to get to know the very wonderful city of Lublin very soon. If you
are there don´t forget to visit the special restaurant named
Mandragora.
My request to the young people is to keep in touch, let
friendships grow, use the possibilities of the digital age to
continue to exchange ideas, play chess or sudoku together or
give each other little puzzles so that you all become little
geniuses or at least convinced Europeans, don't forget this
wonderful week in Croatia and keep everything in your heart.
We have designed a website where you can bring in all your
photos and share your thoughts, wishes, impressions of this
encounter in the form of texts, greetings, poems or pictures.
There is also a common WhatsApp group for all students at this
meeting, which can be the basis for joint planning and activities.
As coordinator of the immortalized and head of the German
delegation, I wish the young kids all the best. stay open,
peaceful and tolerant, enjoy your life and think about what is
important. You should also have learned that from our project.
We all know that the success of the project week was on many
shoulders But two shoulders had to bear the weight of the
entire Colosseum. Dear Alenka, I know from my own experience
that organizing a week like this is extremely exhausting and
exhausting. The positive course will surely give you joy and
sunshine and also pride and appreciation, which hopefully your
school management will send to you, but rst of all you will also
need time and strength to relax. I wish you from the bottom of
my heart.
As German coordinator I want to thank my team of Emine and
Elisa, Ahmad, Sediqa, Natalia,Nadine, Katalin, Zerda and Camelia.
I have to thank them because of two reasons :
Reason 1 : They made a great job here and before and
Reason 2 : I need all of them in future time to prepare German
Meeting.
