Now, and as we emerge into“the new world”.There are hundreds of resources outthere which offer to improve yourhealth and resilience: it may taketrying a couple to find the one thatworks for you. Likewise, finding atouch therapist who’s the “right fit”may take some time.So my invitation to you is this: Learnabout your breath: almost everyhealing tradition places the role ofthe breath at its very heart. Deepeningyour understanding of the breath,and your skill in using it to bring youinto a meditative and healing space islikely to be beneficial in many areas ofyour life. The resource I have foundmost helpful for this is The 4 Breathsmeditation 2 .Explore your local touch therapistoptions: a strong relationship withyour therapist is hugely importantto the effectiveness of your workwith them. Although not working,you can contact local and, ideally,recommended therapists to startassessing for yourself if you think theywould be a good ‘fit’. That way, whenthey are able to offer treatments again,you know exactly who to ring up andget your sessions booked in with.Take a look at their website and socialmedia, drop them an email or evenarrange a phone call. The therapeuticrelationship is an important one:taking the time to find the right fit istime well spent.Be kind to yourself: you will alreadyhave strategies that have helped youthrough hard times in the past. Somewill be available to you right now.Some won’t. But prioritising the timeand space to enact the strategies youcan access at the moment is vital.Right now your resilience is takinga beating if only due to the massiveuncertainties we all face, let alone theadditional stresses your individualsituation brings you. So I really inviteyou to be kind to yourself. Have thatcup of tea. Take that extra nap. Go foran extra long walk while the sun isshining. Spend time playing with yourkids.
