Le village de Salary, situé à une centaine de kilomètres<br />
au nord de Tuléar, est connu pour sa quiétude et sa<br />
beauté. C’est une destination pour se ressourcer mais<br />
aussi pour faire des découvertes. Vous pourrez admirer<br />
les mouvements des pirogues à balancier qui sillonnent<br />
le lagon au lever du jour et qui reviennent vers midi;<br />
profiter de la mer, de la plage et visiter aussi la forêt<br />
des Mikea. Et faire ainsi la rencontre de cette ethnie<br />
pour mieux connaître son mode de vie. Ce petit paradis<br />
renferme également une riche faune marine et est un site<br />
d’observation des baleines en saison.<br />
A Salary, plongez dans l’histoire au Salary Diving<br />
et découvrez des épaves comme le Winterton, épave<br />
anglaise de 1792, la Nossa senhora, épave portugaise de<br />
1774 ou encore Le Surprise, épave américaine du début du<br />
XXe siècle. Une petite virée à Andravona et Ambatomilo<br />

The village of Salary, located 100km or so to the north of<br />
Tuléar, is known for its beauty and calm. It is a perfect<br />
destination for those wishing to unwind and relax, but also<br />
for the more adventurous. You can gaze at the ballet of the<br />
outrigger canoes criss-crossing the lagoon at daybreak and<br />
sailing back at midday. You can just enjoy the sea, chill<br />
out on the beach and visit the forest of Mikea, where you<br />
might meet the normadic ethnic group. This little paradise<br />
also harbours rich marine fauna and is a favourite spot for<br />
whale watching during the appropriate season.<br />
You can take a trip into history with Salary Diving to<br />
discover the wrecks including the Winterton, an English<br />
ship that ran aground in 1792, the Nossa Senhora, a<br />
Portuguese wreck from 1774 and The Surprise, an American<br />
ship wrecked at the start of the 20th century.<br />
