Cemac showcases offering<br />

Locally owned commercial interiors firm Cemac Interiors hosted a BA4 in <strong>July</strong> at<br />

its Harwood Street premises. They were showcasing a new studio after being in<br />

the location for over 15 years, director Paul Jones said. He traced the history of the<br />

company back to New South Wales at the end of World War Two, followed by various<br />

ownership changes including Winstones, Alex Harvey Industries and Carter Holt,<br />

before he was part of a management buyout that<br />

saw the company become locally owned in the<br />

early 1990s. It now has up to eight staff members.<br />

“We are 100 percent locally owned, we are a<br />

Hamilton company,” he said. “A hundred percent<br />

of what happens here stays in the <strong>Waikato</strong>.”<br />

“We really want to focus on providing solutions to<br />

our clients via a fantastic range of furniture, storage<br />

systems retail and also back-of-house racking.”<br />
