engine sounds meatier and it is a<br />

lot more fun to play with.<br />

Road<br />

On the road this bike is perfectly<br />

comfortable, well balanced and<br />

offers excellent performance and<br />

protection from the elements.<br />

It is noticeably quicker than the<br />

outgoing 800 with a top speed<br />

that we saw of over the 205 odd<br />

KPH mark. It revs a lot lower<br />

than the 800 at speeds like that<br />

and that translates into good fuel<br />

economy and easy riding. The bike<br />

is perfectly comfortable, nippy<br />

and the brakes are excellent. We<br />

often get questions about how<br />

the 21 inch wheel feels on the tar<br />

– well – honestly, in our opinion<br />

it’s perfectly natural and handles<br />

great.<br />

In Jo’burg traffic you often need<br />

to hit the brakes – the ABS is<br />

seamless, you don’t know that it’s<br />

there.<br />
