Captains Report
Kempton Park
Dear Nomads,
My first official Captains report, for a while there I thought
I would not need to be writing this. It has been quite a journey the last few months.
Thus, having said that we are extremely grateful to be back on the course, being able to play the
game we love so much for an organisation that we are so passionate.
A big thank you to Kempton Park Golf Club, Hannes (Captain), Vince (pro shop), Amanda
(finances) and all the staff who made this game possible and the members for allowing us the use
of their course on a Saturday afternoon. The course itself is in an excellent condition taking into
consideration the insurmountable obstacles faced during Covid – 19. The summer rains will only
bring to the fore the hard work been put in by the club, staff and members.
We had another first on the day, having a virtual prizegiving (live on facebook) never would I have
imagined that sound and production would be a requirement for this job, nevertheless we will improve
and ensure that the actual video is accessible to all the members going forward.
Lastly, I would like to thank all our sponsors and members, without you this organisation does not
exist and would not be able to do the good work that it does for our selected beneficiaries.
We are excited to see what lies ahead and look forward to seeing you at our September monthly
game @ State Mines on the afternoon of the 5 th.

Please could I make a special request to whoever takes
photographs of the cards to whatsapp to me, that you
make sure nothing is cut off, before sending them to
me! There were a number of cards that had to be retaken
because names were omitted!
Please send me the photographs of the cards, directly
after the game! I am sitting at home processing the
cards, and trying to get results out to Stephen and
Gavin, and can’t wait for you!
