We can't wait to see what you do here

Crack a book.

It’s the reason you’re here and the reason you’ll stay. Much of your time will be

spent on your coursework. It will be fun and productive as long as you allow for

your own balance of concentration and relaxation.

Catch a show.

Every week brings a new gallery show or installation opening either on or near

campus. Campus openings are free, and all students are encouraged to attend

and support their fellow students, faculty, and visiting artists. CCAD students

also get free admission to the Columbus Museum of Art, which is just a few

steps from campus. You should also check out any of the commercial galleries

in Columbus: Admission at these galleries is free and they’re glad to see

your interest in their exhibitions. Please note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic,

reservations may be necessary before your visit. Head to the museum and

galleries’ websites first before your pay an in-person visit.

Explore Columbus.

Columbus is packed with things to do. Within a few blocks you have access to

parks and gardens, boutiques, libraries, and restaurants offering food from

every area of the world.

Join Student Organizations.

The life of an art student can be hectic, but most of the best students find a way

to get involved outside the classroom. Studies show that the more students

interact with their peers informally or through extracurricular activities, the

stronger their chances are of succeeding in college. Student Engagement &

Inclusion gives you lots of possibilities to choose from. Check out the list of

what we have available at my.ccad.edu.

Make time to play.

Student Engagement & Inclusion works with the Student Programming Board

(SPB) and other student organizations to plan and carry out activities to keep

your life lively and interesting. Some are repeated every year, while others

come and go according to student interest.
