Lifestyle data is mostly data correspondingto the user’s body - measuring their physicalmovement and tracking their vital signs;for instance their temperature, pulse, bloodpressure, respiratory rate, responsivenessand oxygen levels.These are the sort of thing that existingwearable devices such as Fitbit’s and AppleWatches will be able to record in the future,but I wanted to design a standalone devicethat I could build an experience around.My previous idea for wearable monitoringpatches was something that I could see existingin the future - but I this felt that this wastoo discreet and not quite tangible enough toexist within this concept.I found a pack of bendy hairbands in thescrap store, and I began to play around withthem, envisioning them as simple wearabledevices.
