SCARY: Children and parents getting amongst the Halloween scavenger<br />
hunt at St James Park. <br />
Spooky and fun for all<br />
PAPANUI TURNED spooky this<br />
Halloween as hundreds of costume-clad<br />
children took part in the festivities.<br />
Hosted by Ray White Papanui and the<br />
Rotary Club of Papanui, more than 400<br />
children and parents filed into St James<br />
Park for an afternoon filled with scavenger<br />
hunts and sweet treats.<br />
The Halloween extravaganza is in its<br />
second year running and will continue to<br />
be held annually.<br />
It was a chance for the community to<br />
celebrate Halloween together in a safe and<br />
fun environment.<br />
Vanessa Golightly, of Ray White, said<br />
those on the day said it was “amazing” to<br />
have an event like this, where parents did<br />
not need to take children door knocking<br />
for trick or treating.<br />
It also meant parents were able to get<br />
to know other families in the neighbourhood.<br />
