Tuesday, Dec. 8 at Fort Zumwalt Park,
1000 Jessup Lane in O’Fallon. This event
is part of the Celebration of Lights event.
Visitors can walk along the illuminated
route, enjoy holiday music, visit with
Santa, and watch a firework show. Holiday
gifts and food will be on sale from
O’Fallon-based nonprofit organizations.
Fireworks begin at 7:25 p.m. Admission
is $3 per person until Dec. 4; $5 per
person day of event (cash only); ages 2
and under are free. Parking with free shuttle
service to the Holiday Stroll is at First
Baptist Church of O’Fallon, 8750 Veterans
Memorial Parkway; and O’Fallon
Christian Church, 9380 Veterans Memorial
Parkway. Strollers, wagons, walkers,
and wheelchairs are welcome; no pets
(except service dogs), motorized hoverboards,
kids’ scooters, bikes, or skateboards
allowed. Pre-purchase admission
wristbands at the O’Fallon Parks and
Recreation Administrative Offices, 400
Civic Park Drive.

Lot of Lights recurs daily from 5:30-10
p.m. Mondays-Thursdays; 5:30-11 p.m. Friday-Sunday
and holidays from Friday, Nov.
27 to Saturday, Jan. 2 at the Family Arena,
2002 Arena Parkway in Saint Charles. A
drive-through holiday light display with
lasers, holograms, projection mapping, and
holiday scenes created with lights. Drivers
will be able to tune their car to a dedicated
FM station that will air a curated holiday
music playlist. Event will conclude with a
holiday-themed laser and light show. Tickets

Christmas Candlelight Walks recur
weekly from 6-10:30 p.m. on Saturdays
and Sundays from Dec. 4-12 at The Historic
Daniel Boone Home, 1868 Hwy. F
in Defiance. Observe Christmas traditions
of the past while strolling through the
enchanted village illuminated with thousands
of candles. Visit with “Daniel and
Rebecca Boone” as they reminisce of winters
past. Tickets are limited; reservations
are required. Early bird tickets are $10
before Nov. 20 and $15 afterward. Tours
are limited to no more than 12 people.
Masks are encouraged, especially inside
buildings. New to 2020, the Daniel Boone
Hays Home at Matson Hill Park will open
as part of these festivities. This new attraction
is located off Hwy. F at Stub Road.
Reservations are not required to tour the
home and experience the candlelight drive

A Holiday Pizza Party is from 10
a.m.-noon on Saturday, Dec. 5 at the
Youth Activity Park, 7801 Town Square
Ave. in Dardenne Prairie. Children and
families can enjoy a pizza lunch, make
crafts and have photos taken with Santa.

A Candy Cane Hunt is 9-10 a.m. on
Saturday Dec. 5 at the Krekel Civic Center,
305 Civic Park Drive in O’Fallon. There
will be two time slots beginning at 9 a.m.
and 9:30 a.m. After all the treats have been
found, guests visit with Santa to receive a
goodie bag. The deadline to register is Nov.
28. Cost is $12 per resident; $15 for all

A Christmas Tree Workshop is from
3:30-5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5 at the St.
Charles County Heritage Museum, 1630
Heritage Landing in St. Peters. Learn about
the different evergreen species and the history
of the Christmas Tree. Park Ranger Jake
Dean will teach participants how to identify
different conifers while sitting around a
campfire with hot beverages. A drawing will
be held for a free Christmas Tree courtesy of
Sullivan Farms Registration is not required;
guests must be present to win the tree. Call

Santa’s North Pole Dash & Children’s
Snowman Shuffle begins at 7 a.m. on
Saturday, Dec. 5 at Frontier Park, 500 S.
Riverside Drive in Saint Charles. Santa’s
North Pole Dash is a 5K run or 1-mile
walk for all ages. Participants will take off
from the start line between 7-8:30 a.m. The
theme for 2020 is “The Nutcracker.” Children
11 and younger can participate in the
Snowman Shuffle at 8 a.m. Race sign-ups
are open by visiting gstccc.com/santa-dash.
Rain or shine event. Volunteers are needed.

Santa’s Painting Workshop is from
9-10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 at the Krekel
Civic Center, 305 Civic Park Drive in
O’Fallon. Santa will help individuals ages
4-12 create a holiday-themed painting. Each
session is limited to 16 participants. Cost is
$12 per resident; $15 for all others. Register
by Dec. 5 at renaudcenter.com.

Ice will be virtual this year on Dec. 12.
Featuring skaters from across the region,
the show is being offered for a modest
