Dental Assisting

Online/On Campus

Dental Assistants are valuable

members of the dental care team.

Your instructor will teach you the

entry level skills needed to work as

a dental assistant from helping the

dentist, taking patient’s medical

history, teaching oral hygiene

care to patients and much more.

This course is divided between

online, classroom, lab and 40

clinical hours at regional dental

offices. Basic computer skills

and high-speed internet access

required. Hours: 80 classroom/

lab, 10 online, 40 clinicals

EMT

(Emergency Medical

Technician)

Online/On Campus

Acquire the skills to provide

quick response and mid-level

emergency medical and trauma

care to the sick or injured in the

pre-hospital setting through a

combination of online, classroom,

acute care and field time. This

course meets Idaho and NREMT

standards for obtaining an

EMT license. Upon successful

completion of this course,

students must pass state and

national written and skill exams.

High school diploma or equivalent

required. Basic computer skills

and high-speed internet access

required. Exam fees are not

included in course costs. Hours:

50 classroom/lab, 80 online, 16

clinical

Nursing Assistant Challenge

This challenge test meets the

entrance requirement of the

LCSC BSN programs for CNA, but

provides no skill training prior to

testing. You must have a medical

background to challenge. Does

not qualify you for state registry

or eligibility to be titled or work as

certified nursing assistant.

Nursing Assistant

Skills Only Training

NA Skills Only meets the entrance

requirement of the LCSC BSN

programs for CNA. This 36-hour

skills only training class does not

qualify you for state registry or

eligibility to be titled or work as a

certified nursing assistant.
