has been bound for the Friends at Wyvern Bindery which sadly has now moved from Clerkenwell Road up to Hoxton Street. A previous year’s Christmas card of the Society’s Mirrh (sic) drug jar has been reprinted as a blank card to join our other blank cards of the Apothecaries’ Rose and the view of Black Friars Priory. Please write to the Secretary of the Friends if you wish to purchase these in aid of our funds. The ‘black guide’ to the Hall has been revised by the Friends and is back on sale at the same price as before; do buy a copy, just £5. It would make an excellent gift for someone who you wish to introduce to the Hall or the Faculty lectures. The new CALM data base system is now in use and proving its worth, and following the re-organisation of the Exams Office, the Friends now use the old photocopying room as its base, sharing the space with the expanding collections of the Archives. A major donation was made towards the production of the new book on the Hall’s stained glass written by Past Master Mr William Shand and former Clerk, Mr Andrew Wallington-Smith. We always need new members! If you have not yet joined, there is always a welcome for you and we would very much hope that if you are a member of the Faculty that you will also be a Friend of the Archives.
