Hundreds of Cantabrians took advantage of a sizzling hot<br />

day at New Brighton beach last Saturday to learn how to<br />

fly a kite. Kites of all shapes and sizes took to the air during<br />

the annual city council event. Other activities included a<br />

sandcastle building competition, beach sports with Sport<br />

Canterbury and free samples of Weis icecream.<br />
