Texas has a wealth of landmarks that are guaranteed

these landmarks are historical favorites and some of
the most impressive locales in the state. Here are a few

Alamo
San Antonio
Within the history of the Alamo, it has become a popular
landmark which receives over two million visits each
year. Throughout this landmark is information pertaining
to the great battle at the Alamo. You have the option to
go it alone or take a guided tour. This landmark opens
at 9:30 a.m. Monday through Friday and closes at 5:30
p.m. Saturdays it is open from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Apollo Mission Control Center
Houston
The Apollo Mission Control Center offers a walk through
one of the United States’ great space missions. It was
used in numerous flights to include the Apollo Soyuz.
Visitors are welcomed into this control center to
experience a small part of these space missions.

Espada Aqueduct
San Antonio
The Espada Aqueduct was constructed in the 1700’s
and is fused with masonry. It was originally a part of
the irrigation system which offered supplies to five
local missions of its day. It features an early Spanish
architecture with beautiful greenery surrounding it.
John Nance Garner House
Uvalde
The John Nance Garner House was once the home of
former vice-president, John Nance Garner who served
with Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The home boasts its original
fixtures and furnishings. Visitors are welcome to read
documentation showcased throughout the home or to
attend guided tours.
