Körber launches InSight Contact Tracer in light of COVID-19
Körber has announced the availability of
Körber InSight Contact Tracer to mitigate
and manage the impact of COVID-19 in
distribution operations. Contact Tracer
tracks the locations of people, devices,
orders and the corresponding use of
equipment throughout the warehouse –
protecting workers and operations.

More products, suppliers, distribution
channels and heightening consumer
expectations have made supply chains
more complex by the day. Combine this
with supply chain continuity in light of
the COVID-19 pandemic, this complexity
increases exponentially, said Körber.
Hence, the company developed Contact
Tracer to overcome this.
Contact Tracer works with data from
the warehouse management system
(WMS) to monitor the potential movement
of COVID-19. This can be adjusted
accordingly to each company’s needs.
Examples include tracking the cycle of
events and locations of an employee;
devices like headsets, scanners and
radios; equipment such as pallet jacks,
clamp truck, forklifts and carts; and
inbound and outbound orders throughout
the warehouse – narrowed to a specific
timeframe. Additionally, companies have
the insights to inform customers about
any possible exposure to the contents of
their orders.
Previously requiring extensive manual
research of hundreds of interactions,
supply chain professionals can now assess
who, what, when and where is potentially
impacted. The result is a simplified means
to detect direct and indirect exposure to
COVID-19, and determine low- to highrisk
scenarios for warehouse products
and people.
Contact Tracer is now available for
Körber Warehouse Management Systems
worldwide. ■

Admix redesigns RS-02 pilot scale mixer
Admix has released the newly redesigned
RS-02 pilot scale mixer. Designed for pilot
plants and small-scale production, the
Admix RS-02 high shear pilot scale mixer
can be deployed for product development,
formula optimisation, trial mixtures, and
production runs.
The RS-02 redesign includes a mobile lift
stand with a wider base for added stability
and a large, hand crank for mixer height
adjustment. The portable unit also allows it
to be transported within a plant’s product
development test labs and production
areas.
The RS-02 has a batch capacity of 19-
75 litres, and incorporates the Admix
Rotosolver high shear mixing impeller, a
mixing head for wetting out and dispersing
powders. Its designed is engineered to

provide the balance between shear and
flow so that mixtures are completely
homogenous, emulsified, and agglomeratefree
in within 10 minutes, Admix claimed.

which assures performance and batch
consistency when scaling up to larger

shear mixers. Also available in “Quick
Ship” configuration, it includes a stainless
steel 1.5hp Rotosolver high shear mixer,
mobile stand, variable frequency drive
(VFD) motor controller, Nalgene tank and
