Ban Ki-moon Centre and APCEIU Online Courses: Gender Equality and Global Citizenship
These courses prepared by the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global CItizens and the APCEIU focuses on global citizenship and gender issues. 1. Becoming Global Citizens for a Sustainable Society The course is for anyone who would like to learn more about the SDGs and how to act as a global citizen. The lectures feature global and national leaders such as former Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, former Director General of UNESCO Irina Bokova, and former President of Austria Heinz Fischer as well as experts and advocates from different fields and sectors. 2.Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment: A Pathway to Sustainable Development The course features SDG 5 advocates such as Chair of The Elders Mary Robinson, previous President of Ireland and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Executive Director of UN Women Phumzile Mlambo-ngcuka, Youth Envoy to the UNSG Jayathma Wickramanayake, and many more.
