<strong>Restaurant</strong>
I am go<strong>in</strong>g to a restaurant<br />
to eat with my family.<br />
When we get <strong>in</strong>side, we might<br />
have to wait to be seated.
I can hold a favorite object or<br />
do an activity while I wait.<br />
If I need to use the bathroom, there<br />
will be one <strong>in</strong> the restaurant. I can<br />
ask my parents for help.
When it is our turn to be seated, we<br />
will follow the host to our table.<br />
I will sit down <strong>in</strong> my seat.
I will follow my restaurant rules:<br />
I will use my<br />
<strong>in</strong>side voice.<br />
I will use<br />

I will stay at<br />

When the waitress asks me, I will<br />

This program is designed for Mecklenburg County<br />
parents with children 0-5 who are part of the complex,<br />
sometime frighten<strong>in</strong>g world of autism. The Autism<br />
Coord<strong>in</strong>ator offers a range of services <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g; parent<br />
education, support, and referrals to early <strong>in</strong>tervention<br />
services and other community agencies, weekly parent<br />
discussion groups address<strong>in</strong>g topics of <strong>in</strong>terest, tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g<br />
to professionals <strong>in</strong> the field, and collaborations with<br />
agencies to enhance services to families.<br />
