GOLF
…a course steeped in a history of design by legendary golf visionaries.
WELLESLEY COUNTRY CLUB, with a history of design by Donald Ross, Wayne Stiles and Geoffrey Cornish,
is fortunate to have one of only two courses that has felt the touch of this trio of New England’s most prolific and
distinguished golf course architects. More recent modifications, by Mark Mungeam, upgraded the layout for the
2010 Massachusetts Open — held as part of the Club’s centennial celebration. The Club has hosted over a dozen
championships sponsored by the USGA and Mass Golf.

GOLF IMPROVEMENTS
…like the grass under our feet, we never stop growing.
Recently completed bunkers and new irrigation system position Wellesley
Country Club for the next decade and beyond. In addition to the
championship 18-hole golf course, the Club also has a 6-hole par 3 course,
affectionately named the Carriage Course, which is ideal for kids, beginners
and adults alike. Other golf amenities include a 15,000sf practice tee, two
putting greens, a short game practice area and a seasonal indoor practice
facility. With the construction of Wellesley Country Club’s new 41,000sf
Racquet Facility (due to open in the Fall of 2022), golf enthusiasts will enjoy
year-round golf enjoyment with a 1,300sf golf simulator bay and lounge area.

While high-level competitive golf is one of Wellesley’s hallmarks, most member golf is more casual. The Club
offers golf programs for women, men, juniors and seniors as well as events for mixed golf among these groups.
There are over a dozen opportunities a year for members to entertain guests in organized play, in addition to
informal guest play. To ensure everyone gets a chance to play, the club has an online tee time reservation system.
Junior Golf Program
The Junior Golf Program is designed to
teach lifelong skills in a fun and nurturing
environment. The
program offers
instruction in teaching
juniors how to manage
themselves with order
of play, etiquette and
basic rules, all while
having fun (and maybe
even keeping score).
Caddie Program
Our Caddie Program was developed with
one goal in mind, to help enhance the golf
experience for the members and guests of
our Club, while providing our young golf
enthusiasts a safe and rewarding summer
experience. Our PGA Professional Staff
is dedicated to providing the necessary
caddie training to ensure an enjoyable
and successful summer at WCC. All
new caddies, rookie or experienced, are
required to attend the Caddie Program.

Jeff has been the Head Golf Professional
at Wellesley Country Club since 1999.
While at Wellesley CC, Jeff has been
honored by the New England PGA
section as Merchandiser of the Year
and nominated as Golf Professional of
the Year. Jeff is a Titleist Performance
Institute certified professional, and
he also is a certified club fitter with
Titleist, Ping, Callaway, TaylorMade
and Mizuno.

…where we believe the racquet shapes your life.
WELLESLEY COUNTRY CLUB offers year-round tennis and paddle with our two indoor courts, eight outdoor har tru
courts and four paddle courts. The adult tennis program has many things to offer both social and competitive players. The
Club has four women’s teams competing in the Dorothy Bruno Indoor Tennis League. Ability levels range form 3.0–4.5 on
the USTA rating system. We have a Men’s Intraclub League with over 40 men competing in competitive doubles matches
during the summer months. Clinics, round robins, and tournaments are offered throughout the year.
IN THE FALL OF 2021,
WCC will break ground on our new, state-of-the-art, Racquet Facility —
designed to complement the campus’ stately Clubhouse and the amazing Pool Facility.

RACQUET FACILITY
WITH AN ANTICIPATED COMPLETION OF FALL 2022, the new 41,000sf climate-controlled facility will boast four hard
courts with flexibility for conversion to eight pickleball courts, an expansive tennis lounge court viewing area, men’s and
women’s locker rooms and a full-service tennis pro shop. The beautiful tennis lounge will overlook all indoor courts with
full-length glass viewing and access to the exterior patio area and six outdoor har-tru courts.

David McNaughton has been the
Director of Tennis since 2000. Prior
to WCC, David had an active career
as a player and professional. He was
the Director of Tennis at Prouts Neck
Country Club from ‘93-‘00, and
Director of Tennis at The Savannah
Yacht Club in ‘94-95. David was also
the head coach at both Bowdoin
College and Emmanuel College.
Junior Development Program
Throughout the year, the Junior Development Program offers lessons, match play and interclub leagues. The
WCC tennis program is committed to teaching our juniors sound fundamentals in a supportive and nurturing
environment, while emphasizing sportsmanship and tennis etiquette.
Platform Tennis Program
Our platform tennis program is thriving with the
addition of our state-of-the-art platform tennis
facility. The Club has four courts with a paddle hut
that is perfect for post-match socializing or paddle
tennis gatherings, making this setting one of New
England’s best. Our professionals
are available for instruction for
those players new to the game
or individuals who want to take
their game to the next level.

IN 2014, WELLESLEY COUNTRY CLUB unveiled our new aquatics facility built with the entire membership
in mind. The pool complex, including a snack bar, zero-entry kiddie pool and sports court, offers food, fun and
relaxation for all members. The pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
WCC Swim Team
The WCC Swim Team has a strong
tradition of fun competition and
friendly sportsmanship.
As a member of the Interclub
League, the WCC Swim Team
competes in swimming and diving
against other area clubs.
All children of WCC members
are encouraged to join the fun and
