The event which coincided with his 11th year coronation anniversary started with a golf course and a session of prayers at the palace. The initiative, tagged ‘The Ark’, is designed to be accommodated on 1,000 hectares of land. Among other things, it will boast of a twin tower, 100,000-seater place of worship with a rotating altar, prayer booths, a massive bookshop, audio/visual theatre, 3,000 capacity bible school, food court, baptismal pool, and accommodation for workers and guests. The official ground laying for the project was done March 26, 2020. But we can reveal that the magic hand behind the project is Olalekan Adebiyi, one of the in-demand contractors across the country especially regarding public works. Adebiyi, fondly called Laralek, is a spiritual son of the popular man of God. The closeness between Oyedepo and the Adebiyi is said to be such that the flamboyant pastor was a guest at the 50th birthday celebration of the Laralek boss. As the founder and muscle behind LaraLek Ultimate Constructions, Adebiyi bears the enviable reputation of being the numero uno in Nigeria’s construction community. This is all the more surprising considering the fact that Adebiyi never received university education in engineering or architecture. When NSE honoured Adebiyi with the highest honour possible for archons of engineering who did not themselves study engineering, the body reportedly explained that Adebiyi’s ingenuity with construction had hit the mark! Quite a number of women dress to impress other women - so they’ll pass the brutal, look-you-up-anddown appraisal routine practised by all judgmental ladies. “But I am not interested in what other women think,” said fortysomething and funky Ethel. A full-time housewife - sorry, ‘homemaker!’ She is married to a well-heeled businessman. She believes that: “Men are the barometer by which my attractiveness to my husband can be measured, ensuring I never take his interest in me for granted. It’s easy, after years of marriage, to assume your husband will fancy you no matter how you look. The book captures, celebrates and hopes to reappropriate the Yoruba Orisas who have been demonized and characterized as animist personages especially Esu, who has been mischaracterized as the devil. Focusing on 16 orisas, ‘Who’s Who in the Yoruba Pantheon’ attempts to define who the orisas are by focusing on their characteristics and essences while illuminating the crucial role they play as custodians of cultural ethos and beliefs. It also captures the primacy of the orisas as agents of communal and cultural cohesion. Commenting on the book U pfield, nutrition and plant-based producer of plant-based margarines, spreads and cheeses has joined the Global Shea Alliance (GSA).
