This fine Victorian building houses a significant collection of art including paintings by Richard Wilson, Thomas Gainsborough to name a few and the archaeology collection includes the world-famous Birdlip Mirror and the Gloucester Tables Set; the oldest complete backgammon set in the world. Highlights also include a Roman kitchen and Medieval street, plus part of the original Roman wall can also be viewed within the museum. The Museum of Gloucester is proud to offer FREE admission, but rely on donations to allow them to continue to preserve and display their historical collection for generations to come...
