In this special bumper edition newsletter you will see photos from our jubilee events. Also featured is how our students have celebrated many achievements over Term 1, including ASB Polyfest 2021. Our winter sports are about to begin, so keep an eye out for our teams and we also have many exciting academic events happening this term such as the South Auckland Mathematics Competitions. 50th Jubilee Pōwhiri
On Friday 9th April, we opened our 50th Jubilee
with a pōwhiri.
It was a truly momentous occasion complete
with a sign of blessing with a huge downpour of
rain right in the middle of the occasion. Thank
you to all who were part of the ceremony, the
pōwhiri organisers, our students who perfomed
the haka pōwhiri, our speakers, kaumatua,
honoured guests, and all alumni students and
staff who attended.
Thank you also to Romeo Fidow who filmed the
event on facebook live so our almuni overseas
and absent could watch.
A special acknowledgment to speakers Jake Ratu,
Toi Katipa, Martin Cooper, Principal Tom Webb
and Eddie Manukau.
