The Destiny of People ========================Jenn Zhu
people may seem to have made a good life or become
celebrated in their life time, but it is possible they actually had
failed their destiny. For an example, some very popular
journalist or novelist who had been brave enough to criticize
the loopholes of the system and pinpoint the problems of
society in a dictatorship regime, and made the authority feel
somewhat threatened by the publicity. The latter would try to
buy him out with a good official position or some attractive
compensation. If this journalist took the bait to stop what he
was doing, then he would fail his destiny. Also there are some
other examples. At the beginning of last century, there was a
politician also martial of military in China, named Yuan Shikai,
who seized the power of the Minguo government and became
the president after Sun Zhongshan who led the revolution and
overthrew the last regime of Qing dynasty. In order to protect
the fruit of the revolution, and end the chaotic situation
caused by all the warlords in China, Sun gave up his
presidency to Yuan shortly afterwards, since Yuan controlled a
great military power under him. If Yuan had kept his promise
to maintain a democratic regime in China, there would be
great for all. And both Sun and Yuan would have been highly
