I, Brad Baker, founded BBBlooms Floral Studio in 1999 in Toronto
ON and after two years relocated to Niagara to take advantage of all
that Niagara has to offer; a beautiful wine region, waterfront
properties and a budding culinary scene.
Twenty-two years in the wedding business has taught me a lot about
people. I’ve learned how to put together a beautiful wedding from
start to finish for even the most discerning couple. And the most
important part of a wedding is the ceremony.
When a couple is thinking about florals for their wedding one of the
most important areas to focus on is the ceremony. The ceremony is
where it all begins, where two lives become one, where two families
joined together to support the couple and friends are invited to
see their besties Unite to start their lives happily married. As your
guests arrive for your wedding, (and some of them might start to
arrive as early as an hour before hand) they need to know that they
have arrived at the proper place. When they walk into that space it
needs to announce that there is a wedding happening here today
and that it is your wedding. The ceremony space needs to reflect
your tastes and style since it sets the tone for the rest of the day.
Whether your style is a classic modern or a bohemian vibe, you need
to make sure that the florals convey that. I like to make sure that the
colour palette that is chosen is the favorites of the couple and not
just about the latest trends. If the trends are speaking to you then go
in that direction. Keep in mind that the photograph of the two of you
from your wedding day will be that constant reminder of the choices
you made. Make sure when you look back that the choices you made
you still love them 30 or 50 years down the road.
