What are the differences between a Wedding Planner,

Wedding Coordinator and a Wedding Designer?

A wedding designer is purely ascetics. They have a talent to create a

cohesive and stylish look. And the talent is beyond choosing a table

linen and chair. The provide lighting solutions, floor plans and find

those “niche” items they are looking for. A wedding designer usually

requires 40 hours of work, provides a colour pallet and design concept,

guidance and organization of décor.

A wedding coordinator can put together a day of timeline, and uses

their experience to best recommend changes and suggestions for your

plan. Wedding coordinators usually put in 25 hours of work, meet with

you 4-8 weeks before your wedding, reviews your contracts and details,

checks in with your vendors, addressed any over looked details, and

oversees your wedding day to ensure nothing strays from your original

plan.

What services do you offer?

Satin and Slate Weddings offers:

-Day of Wedding Coordination

-Partial wedding planning

-Full Wedding Planning

-Wedding Design with pricing quotes from décor and florists provided

-Wedding packages for brides needing an easy wedding with everything

included. This package is partnered with leading wedding professionals.

We have teamed up with a few venues for 2021 to ensure every bride

is able to have their ideal wedding experience and provide them with a

number of wedding options at those locations.

What is your most popular service and why?

My most popular wedding service booked is the Partial Planning

Service. I feel this is because with COVID a lot of brides were really

trying to navigate the legislation as well as plan their wedding and it

simply became too stressful. This is where hiring a planner came in.

They have someone else navigate the ever-changing guild lines and

ensure their vision is still met on the day of their wedding. A lot of

brides enjoy the start of wedding planning but get closer to the big

day and find it a head ache with everything else going on in their life.

I highly recommend the Partial planning as this allows you in the last

few months before your wedding to take a back seat and enjoy the ride.

Between Wedding showers, Bachelorettes and Bachelor parties, and

those last-minute DIY items, Its sometimes best to relax and enjoy these

last few moments before the stress of the wedding day. Use this time

to reach out and spend time with your partner, rather than sitting at

the kitchen table deciding what photo shots you need between cocktail

hour and reception.
