FURNIC range, the melamine faced<br />

chipboard panels are stabilised and<br />

tested for heat resistance and moisture<br />

durability. <strong>In</strong> addition, the melamine<br />

resin surfaces are also tested for<br />

antibacterial properties in accordance<br />

with ISO 22196 standards – the most<br />

important internationally recognised<br />

test method for evaluating the<br />

antibacterial activity of plastic materials<br />

and non-porous surfaces to inhibit or kill<br />

the growth of test micro-organisms.<br />

The raw material used are both certified<br />

by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)<br />

and Programme for the Endorsement of<br />

Forest Certification (PEFC).<br />

DESIGN STUDIO<br />

4PLUS8 recently invested SG$600,000<br />

to design and build a first-of-its-kind<br />

design studio to showcase the team’s<br />

dedication to ensuring top quality in<br />

every step of the production process.<br />

Located at Shun Li <strong>In</strong>dustrial Park in<br />

Singapore, the three-level building<br />

itself features unique elements such<br />

as artificial skylights powered by<br />

nano technology and reproduced to<br />

mimic natural lighting; solid wood<br />

milled panels; as well as customised<br />

woodworking and bespoke finishing<br />

elements.<br />

At the top floor, a showroom showcases<br />

an actual layout of a Good Class<br />

Bungalow complete with a living area,<br />

walk-in wardrobe, dining room and<br />

kitchen, all featuring state-of-the-art<br />
